For our final episode of the year, we split up to investigate the SCA and NAS grad shows which opened on the very same night.

We cover the vibes of art, the artists (and their parents), the teachers and grounds of these two Sydney institutions. Sorry, COFA.

Matt launches into a rant about the inner west social vibe (with examples) and then goes on to tell an unrelated disaster story.

We then discuss photography again, including some insight into how fashion photography sets work.

Finally, Hung up issue formal apologies for the year we've had with you.

Hung up weighs in on Western Syd with help from our dear friend Adam (2759). We cover his art school aspirations, how hard it was to find kale in the west, aus hip hop, and what it was like growing up in Penrith (2750) and moving to Newtown (2042).

We briefly chat @sly__morikawa’s show at TCS windows and examine the tension in her photos of Western Syd. And we once again ask, who can wear TNs?

We managed to catch @othy_willis at @prop.gallery for a Kudos off-site show called Incubation. Hear our on-the-spot reaction to a couple of works, and Othy talking us through their process for this show 🧠

In the fibre of her being just closed up at @fairfieldcitymuseumgallery so with reference to two essays by curator of the show @sarahrosecurator and journo @nehakale , we discuss the labour-abstraction spectrum and the invisible work of weavers thru time ⏱🪡

This discussion revolved around works by Linda Sok and the @tjanpidesertweavers : Ngilan Dodd, Puna Yanima, and Mrs M. Bennett

And drum roll please….. Our artist of the week this week is @lendasok ! whose extraordinary work Mending Fragments of a Memory totally captivated us with its clever use of materials to inform a narrative.
