On today’s episode I get lots of time with Shanteh Wong as and I sit in the lower tower dining room of award wining, internationally recognized fine dining Quay restaurant over looking Circular Quay, The Harbour Bridge and Opera house.

Shanteh is the Head Sommelier at Quay and has been with the venue for many years.

Shanteh talks about her history with wine, her in depth studies over the years to master her craft, the resources available to you in the world of wine if you are starting out or just as a hobby and her role and responsibilities as head sommelier at quay.

We talk about the Sommelier community, tastings, managing a cellar, relationships with producers and much more.

I get some great insight into what a day in the life of a Somm is like, the day to day roles, staff meals, relationship wth the kitchen and her team.

Shanteh even gave us her fave wine bars in Sydney, so you will have to listen to find out where and add to your list.

I had the best time with Shanteh, she is extremely professional, a very humber leader, manager and just a very kind person.

"Issac, I bought my first 1500 followers...what do I do?" with Sir Eats-a-lot 🎙 Episode 8 is live with @issac_eatsalot 🔗 Link in bio ⁣⁣⁣⁣

On this episode, I sit with Issac, known on the gram as Sir Eats-A-lot, if you are a foodie or you like burgers and you don't know issac_eatsalot you have been living under a rock!

Issac is a chocolatier, turned competitive eater, turned family man, the founder of Chew Crew Media and one of the real deal heavyweights on the food scene with 195,000 followers just on his personal Instagram alone.

Venues all over Sydney rely on Issac's Social Media Agency and the creative content he provides to stay ahead with venues offerings to grow their brand.

Issac and I talk about our first interaction two years ago when I first started Hungry Diner on the gram, the birth of Sir Eats-a-lot, how social media has changed his life, how a simple burger post was the way he met his wife Sammi, their growing family, his love for American style cuisine, his time in competitive eating, his social media agency, our thoughts on social media for venues, his ridiculously original and delicious photos, his thoughts on buying followers and likes, fake engagement and all the rest.

It was an honour to chat with Isaac, I have a lot of respect for him and what he is doing to contribute to venues growth even through this pandemic.
