This is a long time coming. Sorry, Hustle Beach hasn't been posting since Passover but we're back!. Dani Poppitt is the real deal songwriter.  She has come up from the orange county busking life and made it to Los Angeles. We discovered each other because we both collaborated with legendary DJ Kaskade who I first experience in Park City Live a few days after I opened for Wiz Khalifa.  In her words, (We're Kaskade Buddies!) Her collaboration is called  Love Like That. (mine is Sexy)

Welcome back to  Hustle Beach!! In Episode 12, we prepare for the hustle of Passover with Matt Bar of Bible Raps and the Hip Hop Haggadah. He speaks about his beginning in Iowa City and his first opening act for Outkast, his move to NYC and then ending up in Philadelphia. We learn about the ins and outs of his life from rapper to folk music  to Jewish educator and the new hustles of life in the pandemic for upcoming passover season.

In the time of Corona, I didn't stick to the schedule. We got lots  to discuss. As the end of the live music business sis upon us and I was getting ready to head to SXSW and what was left over of it. Jordan Young is a radio guy from Minneapolis that made hs way over to Los Angeles. We discuss the ideas of the future of the music business. Jordan worked my record to college radio in 2016 and with the ever changing climate we shoot the  sh$t back n forth on the new music and all things to come, from Tom Hanks to music licensing. We also recorded this in Jordan's car in Hollywood. before I headed down to the remnants of SXSW.

This week we hear the story of Snowflake Black , who we have the pleasure of touring together with Lucille Crew in my first big Israel tour since moving here.  I met up with him in NYC after a meeting at the Fader. We drank coffee, went to the Empire State Building and recorded this podcast in my mom's car. Snowflake Black has been at it for a long time. We speak writing, collaborations, and life growing up in Little Rock Arkansas.  We chat normal living life  and bartending to joining Lucille Crew and playing in front of thousands of people in Europe and in Israel.  We speak solo life artistry  versus group life, and also being the non-jewish guy from Brooklyn that is literally flying to Israel to perform for packed shows at all times!!

Welcome back to the Tuesday Weekly episode of Hustle Beach. I just recorded a new episode in my new spot in Yafo but this episode goes back while I was recording my album in NYC and New Jersey.  The album Nobody Cares Except You  (it will be released 4/3) was in its beginning stages and now gets a release date. Mike has been a rock in my life and we have known each other for 10+ years from his work with Shinobi Ninja to SXSW to behind the boards for 2 years.  He has also since become a father since we recorded this podcast, and relocated to Williamsburg Brooklyn! Mazel Tov!

We are back again with another tuesday of the Hustle Beach Podcast

I have just returned to Israel and in celebration of such an arrival, I want to introduce to you good friend and guitarist of Jacobs Ladder. We first met in 2007 at a show in DC and have loosely stayed in touch Sith some recent collaborations.  Something I really love about this guy is that although I don't quite understand him or he isn't on the brink of fame, he has a great attitude and energy that is very "South Beach." He is a Miami guy at heart and we learn lots of cool history of who is from Miami,  stories from Art Basel, and we recently played a pool party in Ft Lauderdale at a place called the Mitzvah Mansion., and also played a beach festival in the north of Israel.

Sundance has been a home for the hustle of my music for some time.  I have my gotten my music in films like the Skinny by Jessie Kahnweiler . I have opened for Wiz Khalifa (just last week)  here as well as Travis Scott and Machine Gun Kelly, as well as rapping in random living rooms with Pras from the Fugees As music is the thing to hustle here, I finally get to sit down with someone who is ACTUALLY in the movie business. Nick Morton of Whitewater Films tells some of his journey into comedy, writing and producing over 25 films including Ray and Big In Japan, as well our somewhat  connected experience on Vans Warped Tour with Fat Kid Rules the World in 2012  (after raising $160,000 on Kickstarter!) He produced Ray  Big IN Japan

If you are trying to get into the film business, this is something you definitely want to listen to!

I can't believe some of the people I meet! Welcome back to Hustle Beach episode 005. Make sure you subscribe and share this with some friends who hustle! For this weeks episode,.  I met Sam Schubert at the"holiest Wework in the world"  In Jerusalem. We learn about him  creating  life in Hollywood to Dayton, Ohio  to Israel.  I posted a picture of his bamboo straws which were at the beginning of a FCK plastic revolution. After selling lots of straws from a simple Facebook post via my personal page, it  helped him start a website and get more sales. Although since the time of this recording FCK plastic is on hiatus , we learn many tips on hustling from his original jobs.

Hey Guys. We are back for week 2 of 52 in 2020. Hustle beach is something I believe in and every tuesday in 2020 we will upload the hustle no matter what beach we are on.  I met Juda Honickman back in NYC circa 2007  and we meet about 12 years later in the WEWORK of Jerusalem (aka the holiest co-working place in the world.)  We speak on stories of early hustle , selling candy,  getting sober, and creating the first sober house in Jerusalem. We briefly chat about family life and  living  "over the green line." as well!   Juda, or yehuda as many know him, is a true hustler. It is a pleasure to have him be a "slinger" on Hustle Beach.

Happy New Year! For the first of weekly Hustle Beach  episodes in the new year, I will be uploading every tuesday. This episode was recorded in 2018 with drummer Jon Longley, who I met via Vans Warped Tour with fellow rapper MC LARS in 2015. One of my greatest rapper friends on the planet, we have travelled around across the United States and were able to record this episode at Shure Microphone headquarters in Chicago. A short and quick listen,  we discuss the relationship between selling everything from furniture and cars to t shirts at shows.
