Before moving to NYC in 2006 to work as a correspondent and photographer for the Italian magazine "Acqua e Sapone" Manuela traveled the globe, worked in communications for several non-profits, and studied filmmaking. She is a member of New York Women in Film and Television  (NYWIFT) and the Video Consortium and holds a BA in History and a BA in  Political Science from La Sapienza University in Rome, Italy.
