Knives Don't Have Your Back or George Floyd Rant

Knives Don't Have Your Back or George Floyd Rant

This is an episode I didn't want to do as much as I needed to do it. If you've listened to IBMP since the beginning, you already know I've been talking about this for awhile now. This would've dropped sooner but I wanted to record this with less emotion as possible, in an effort to say my piece in a more logical manner and I hope it gets through. White people, BLACK people, Americans, and everybody in between be prepared to be inspired or very offended. All words of Miles Amadeus Prower reflect his opinions and his alone, Hyphen Podcast Group or any of it's podcasts had no say or input in any of this content. Happy Juneteenth!

I do not own any rights to any music used in this episode......blame Kelen and Raul:)

Episode 46: Job 7:11 or Sehemu ya Mwisho

I'm sorry for the wait, especially to my dedicated listeners. This episode was recorded before the previous but released after.  One of the reasons for that was due to my podcasting cousins from Talk Black to Me Podcast, they gave me a shout out that made me feel mayhaps it'd be best if I dropped this one later. As my loyal listeners know that one of the recurring subjects of this podcast is depression, and my personal struggles with it. With that said, before recording this my depression was pretty bad and I recorded this episode umpteen times in an attempt to provide you guys with an episode that's more then me just raging and complaining. Even after editing and mixing this I wanted to erase it and start over, but Kel said "Naw, you better drop that shit." What you are about to hear is my attempts at venting and trying to get to the root of my issues.  It's not my intention to offend anybody with my words, this episode, and i truly feel those that know me whether by listening or personally, will understand my words and intentions.  It is truly my greatest hope that ANY of this aids anybody going through depression or anger issues and helps them see the world and themselves differently.  See you later....Maps out.

Episode 40: Diary of a Black Dad or I’ll Shut Up When I’m Dead

Maps begins this episode talking about how he celebrated his daughter’s birthday as well as his gripes with planning events around relatives. Miles finds himself understanding his Old Man a little more while venting about his unwillingness to do most things. Before we forget, this episode we mused by Aaron, the Patron Saint of It’s Like A Podcast or Whatever. While discussing his apprentice on ILAPOW, Miles talks about his love of all 1980s Transformers movies and it’s effects on his mind. Listen we’re gonna level with you guess....Miles said a lot of things about Handsome Bane that he’s not really happy with or proud of, but positive things were said that can’t be taken back. All this and more in this episode of IBMP!

Don't get it twisted, no hate, it's all love and actually Talk Black 2 Me is kind of the cousin-cast to IBMP. Now that we got THAT out the way........Episode 36 finds our ebony antagonist motivated yet slightly distracted. Making another appearance is Zey List, in all its organized glory! Topics covered include, but not limited to, Jussie Smollett, Maps attending a Daddy-Daughter dance, how awkward he feels being a father, Blackkklansman and others!

Happy New Year! Its the first IBMP of 2019! We hope you need some opinionated riffing to balance you out from all your seasonal bliss...whether or not, it's what you're gonna get! This episode Maps attempts to dispense "positive" advice for anybody making new year resolutions, asks WTF Hamilton is and gives his three cents on the whole Robert Kelly rape thing(and how he BEEN knew about it). As always there's MANY side-notes and mini riffs peppered throughout and in-between.  #offensivelyblack

Episode 20.5- Maps Really Had to Vent or The Most Offensively Black Episode Yet!

Emotions cloud judgment and Maps was mos def in his this episode. He goes on a rant about how George H. W. Bush is the devil and how he hates how white people pick and choose the things they want to see and not see. After talking to a close friend the other day, Miles was deeply disappointed by how they viewed the passing of Bush. In this minisode Maps tells about his beef with white america and why he feels he will never trust any white person 100%. Heads up if you not “woke” your bout to get OFFENDED.

9, The Episode Formerly Known as 8

The new Episode of I, Black Man Podcast is here! Sorry for the hiatus, really I am. My Uncle passed and it took me a minute to get over it, and a little more still to like anything I record. Also, although this is supposed to be episode 8 we are skipping that number and going to 9. I’m doing this in honor of my Uncle’s passing, things may go on but they will never be the same. I hope this doesn’t bother you guys too much, and if so....blame it on Kanye! In this episode I talk about the Venom character as well as my expectations of the movie, Dark Phoenix, my thoughts on a meme I saw about racial unity....and my pick for best comic to movie...movie EVER MADE.
