Episode 3 of our Upskilling Leaders and Managers Podcast features guest experts Nathan Nalla, Director of Be The Riot and Sarah Hobbs, Managing Director of Talent & Potential Ltd. Sarah and Nathan join Tom Moore, our COO, and Tom McDowall, our Head of Learning Design to talk about the 'Future of Leadership – Upskilling, Hybrid, Authenticity and Failure'.  

Our panel has some seriously impressive (and appropriate) credentials. Sarah is an expert on talent management and developing self-directed employees with a real passion for career management. Nathan’s agency, Be The Riot, supports companies in creating an inclusive working culture through facilitated learning workshops, mentoring and consultancy services. And that’s just one of the feathers in his sizable cap!  

They discuss the shift in leadership after the pandemic (something we can all relate to!). They also cover success stories and struggles in Leadership Development, what the leader’s role is in making or breaking organisation culture, and what’s ahead. Finally, the panel answers questions about whether we want fallible, transparent, authentic leaders, and what the pitfalls are.

Are you ready for our next podcast episode? We’ve had some great feedback about our first episode of the Upskilling Leaders and Managers podcast, but this one, in our opinion, is EVEN BETTER. The vague-sounding title belies a plethora of interesting sub-topics, which include examples of great (and poor) management and leadership, as well as the difference between doing the job and managing others into doing the job.
