Season 4 has not taken off like I hoped it would have, but I am still here hoping something will happen with the connection of my listeners. Spotify for Podcasters is making a HUGE change coming this June. You have to listen all the way through to figure out what it is. What a whirlwind this episode has been to record for you guys. I’ve deleted numerous segments and re-recorded a few and I’ve decided to just give it to you straight. Ever since we’ve come back from vacation these last two and half months have been crap. 2024 MUST be my year though because I’m tired of ending the year the same way EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I’ve grown so much over the past 3 years doing Idalis Asks and Answers, but I’ve learned so much more within myself that I am very pleased to announce that season 4 will be coming back right before Christmas so stay tuned. I prolonged ending season 3 so hard. In this episode I discuss supporting people around me, but also standing my ground when I know for sure I’m uncomfortable. I went to a cousins birthday party, Dorney Parks Haunted Haunt w some clients and coworkers, also I went to visit my grandma in law. I had to deal with some tough situations at work that has tested my limits, but because I love my job (love is still a stretch) I will try anything once. Honeymoon details will be announced next season. Anthony will be joining me to tell this story because without him I wouldn’t do the story justice. I can’t promise he’ll keep his language clean, but I promise you it will be something to listen to. This year is coming to an end and like I’ve been mentioning I want to move forward in my life and go down another life/career path. I’m intrigued to see what I do in the near future and just the future in general. Thank you all for listening to me not make sense, or make a shit ton of sense lol. I even cried a few times. I’m trying to figure out what I want to do with my future career so I tell a story in this episode where I just jumped into the pool & went for it. It can be discouraging when jobs out here basically subtly tell you, “You can’t work here because you don’t have a degree or experience”. So, I got surgery for my Kienbock’s disease 🦠.. let me just say that post-surgery is the worst part even though this was my FIRST ever! Raise your hand 🙋🏽‍♀️ if YOU the listener thinks I should start my own YouTube channel? I could discuss my disease more & how I lived with it for so long? Just a thought. 🥲 Kienbock’s disease- is a condition where the blood supply to one of the small bones 🦴 in the wrist, the lunate, is interrupted. The lunate is a carpal bone. Only 1 in 700,000 people have this. 🤯🤯 How rare am I? If you’ve been listening you would know that March has been madness for my family and I. Throughout all the family loss, lack of stability (personally), & slipping into a depression has been hard on my mental health as well. So, with that I want to continue ITTCSYDHT and move onto a new book. Something shorter perhaps? Lol

Podcast book club is cancelled for today, but don't worry I wanted to get a little bit deep with my audience today and just talk about what I've been going through during this month of March and what I think is wrong, but accepting that other life decisions have to be made either way because either way life is not promised. 

My great uncle Wilson passed March 5th, 2022 which was hard not only because we love him and it was TOTALLY unexpected because we knew he was diagnosed with diabetes, but he wasn't doing what he was supposed to. March 17th, 2021 his mother (my great grandma) passed away ate the age of 92 of natural causes. She was our world and the fact that uncle Wilson passed just a week earlier is sad. 

Not to mention, uncle Wilson's father (my great grandfather) is also not doing to well. He's 95! What a life he has lived and as he continues to fight each and every day; I wanted to talk about the people that meant the most to me. The great thing is all three of them brung something different to the table so it makes it that much harder for me to think about them being gone. 

My great grandfather could go at any minute now so, this is certainly March Madness for our family.

Welcome back to Idalis Asks and Answers where we are discussing Loni Love's book titled, "I Tried To Change So You Don't Have To:True Life Lessons". I am discussing chapters 2 &3 where Loni Talks about what life was like for her at age 7 and 8 and how a Jehovah Witness woman she named Mrs. Brooks came into her life "through the government" that was paying to babysit Loni. 

Loni Love talks about the hardships of not. having her father around, but learning that her brother was her half-brother due to having different fathers and her brother Bruce's father showing up in a fake Santa costume bringing in gifts for his son who he though was "8 or9" was really 13 turning 14. 

She even talks about her friends stealing from their parents, uncles, grandma's and so on. Guess what? Loni started to steal from her mama which she wound up confessing on herself and taking the consequences that came with it.

Today I recorded this episode via laptop on a Chrome browser and I have to say I don't know why I haven't done it before. It beats recording off of my phone and having to place it on "Do Not Disturb". 

Today Podcast Book Club has begun and I am super excited to bring it to the fore front with my listeners.
