Military Spouse, Resilience and Community
Manda McVey is an Army Spouse, and not only that, she nominated for Army Spouse Of The Year. She is a resiliency teacher, yoga teacher, and a Wellness & Resiliency Coach. Stepping on to the show this week to talk about how important the spouse community is within the community itself.
You can’t pour from an empty cup is one of the most truthful ideas I have ever heard in my life- and as a Military Spouse, we feel it deeper. Manda shares the work she is doing in Tahoma, WA. Connecting the community with Mindful Memorial Day with Armor Down. Teaching resiliency in the spouse community, as well as holistic nutrition.

Balance, The Pain of Growth and Teaching Your Truth
Kula, this week I’m so happy to bring you someone close to home for me. Holly and I meet through the community here in North Carolina. I started following her on Instagram and saw how she shared her story- and it inspired me so much.
One of the greatest things that we have access to as Armed Force Spouses is the community that surrounds us- Holly is my community and I’m so thankful that we sat down to talk and listen to her story of how she came to yoga. Finding the teaching style that she loves and even the journey of growth.

Finding Your Seat
Finding Your Seat
Thank you for tuning back into Searching For Satya.
I love making small meditation for you, and these meditations are really for you. We live such unique lives that all meditations may not apply to our bodies. Well, today I have another fun one- finding your seat.
We sit a lot and I want you to feel confident in finding your seat. Create some space, plug in the headphones and take a listen.

Binaural Sounds
Thank you for tuning back into Searching for Satya.
It's been a minuet. And I've been working on projects with friends and creators.
I recently brought both my harmonium and didgeridoo to two different yoga classes. I believe that sound has a powerful attribute to it when we look into relaxation or healing. I use two note here and split the audio into tow different sides of the head phone, which I highly recommend you use for this experience.
Take a moment or all fifteen minuets to enjoy these sounds.

Mindful Meditation
Mindfull or Mindful; how are you feeling? Take ten minutes from the day, and allow yourself space to create a mindful awareness in your body. This meditation will help you explore subtle things in the body, and how they can make a big impact on your mindfulness practice.
With only nine minutes, I will guide you on an internal an external view of the body, connected with the breath and the subtle thoughts that surround each action.
Breathing Meditation
Explore breathing and the connection to the body, and how it creates awareness in the body. We breathe without thinking about it through our daily lives, maybe even with one point in the day, we remember to take the deep calming breath to help us calm down.

Guided Meditation
In this episode I take you on a full body scan. Taking notice and observing places and points in the body.
When we sit down for this, allow your self the space to focus into the points, observe how you feel, and allow an emotion to arise, notice where it takes place in the body.
