Studying abroad is not just about attending classes in a foreign country; it’s about immersing yourself in a new culture.

Adam Smith is an education leader whose experience lies at the intersection of math teaching and learning, teacher leadership, equity and social justice, and education research. His career includes roles as a high school math teacher, assistant professor of math, elementary math curriculum director, and education nonprofit leadership. Adam is passionate about ensuring that children who have been historically marginalized and excluded can see themselves as mathematicians and are given ample opportunities to realize their brilliance as math learners and doers. He believes in the power of transformative leadership to shift the educational paradigm to center and uplift Black and Brown students and communities.

Mr Ellwood Johnson shares his thoughts on Black History Month has an Educator. Ellwood Johnson is native and resident of Baltimore Maryland, where he currently teaches English and chairs the English department at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School. In addition to teaching high school English, Ellwood has also taught a variety of literature and writing courses at a number of colleges in the Baltimore and Washington D.C. metropolitan areas. His academic interests include Victorian and Modern British fiction, postcolonial studies, and black diasporic literature. In his spare time, Ellwood enjoys reading, baking, and talking about the intersections of literature and culture. Ellwood is a graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County where he received his B.A. and M.A. degrees in English literature.

Happy New Year to you. Welcome to a new beginning. Welcome to a new season. You know, it's always exciting to be in New Year to celebrate with friends and families and loved ones, you know, and just to see the; the excitement in, in the air.

Excellence in college goes beyond skill. It stretches into other metrics including attitude, ability to network and consistency. Mr Igho sheds light on several important hacks to help students excel in college.

This episode featured Anmol Gupta, an international student studying in Ukraine and soon-to-be surgeon. He left his home country, India, to Ukraine in 2014 in pursuit of his dream to study medicine and become a surgeon.

Anmol has had to leave Ukraine and is currently in Hungary, due to the ongoing conflict. He has however not allowed himself be deterred by prevailing circumstances. He is currently a volunteer for humanitarian efforts in Hungary, aimed at helping millions of fleeing refugees settle in and find a new home.
Having very recently received recognition by CNN via an interview for his tireless humanitarian efforts, his story is an inspiration to many.

This episodes opens with the March for our lives event in the US in support of Gun control measures, the PVC revolution in Nigeria, the war in Ukraine and finally the importance of making the right connections in college.

Muthoni Musangali is an Associate Professor in the Counseling Department at Webster University. She earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of Central Florida. She holds a MA in Counseling from Heidelberg College and a B.Ed. (Arts) from Kenyatta University, Kenya. She talks about the war in Ukraine, the difficulties women and girls face, biases in society, her works and her journey from an International Student to being a Professor!

Nnamdi shares experiences he has found fascinating as an international student in Germany and gives tips to prospective students.
