Episode 19: Faith Won't Work Unless You Do (pt 2)

Episode 19: Faith Won't Work Unless You Do (pt 2)

Welcome to Imagine Faith Talk, the podcast where we believe that faith in God is the key to unlocking everything you’ve been called to be.

How often do you trust God?

How well do you rely on his promises to you and act accordingly?

It is natural for us to want control over everything that concerns our affairs, and we forget that the ways of God are not that of man. No wonder we fail to actualize God's plan and purpose for our lives even after demonstrating all levels of faith.

God's spirit dwells in us, so there is no way we can navigate through life trusting our abilities even when they are God-given.

While walking in faith, recognizing that God is partnering with us goes a long way in helping us clear doubts whenever it comes up.

In today's episode, Kevin and Donovan talked about the threats to making our faith kinetic and why we need to allow God to help us move in faith. In Donovan's words, "perfect is obedience. If God says move, the perfect thing you do is to move."

Listen to this episode packed with messages from God and be inspired.

Episode 18: Faith Won't Work Unless You Do!

Episode 18: Faith Won't Work Unless You Do!

Welcome to Imagine Faith Talk, the podcast where we believe that faith in God is the key to unlocking everything you’ve been called to be.

After hours of prayers and positive declarations, repeating God's word to your situation, still no result. Do you think that's God's plan?

You have a ball at point A; to take it to point B, do you stand there praying that miraculously it moves by itself without external interference? Or do you apply an action, kicking the ball and then praying that God makes it go all the way to point B?

It is very easy to get carried away with faith in God's word that we forget we need to do the work. In this episode, hosts Kevin and Donovan talked about how to move in faith and activate kinetic faith with full authority.

Listen in, learn, and be inspired.

Notable Quotes.

[01:28] Maybe one of the reasons you are tired of success is that you are carrying a dead weight

[07:20] Once you work, faith gets activated because without work what you have is a dead faith.

[22:34] We are not considering how if I just move one step of faith after the other, I will have the contribution of momentum on my side.

Episode 17: Is Your Joy Tank Low? 2

Detours are never easy but are necessary for our success and the development of our lives and ministries.

While detours are not what we planned, it is a necessary part of God's plan for us to grow. The Lord's plan is a long-term one, a marathon if you will, but not a sprint. But trust me when I say it is worth the wait and the journey.

Listen in on this powerful message: Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and he will make your paths straight."

In this episode, hosts Kevin and Donovan discuss the path of development wrapped in detours.

In Donovan's words: "With God, there is always a path for whatever it is you're trying to achieve."

Episode 14: What distracts us from taking a break? (Pitstop Pt 2)

Episode 14: What distracts us from taking a break? (Pitstop Pt 2)

How to Avoid Distractions While at the Pitstop

There is so much noise in our world today. Taking a moment to spend time in a pitstop is viewed as being lazy. Our society does not appreciate the importance of a pitstop.

1st Kings 19:5-8 tells us about Elijah’s pitstop. Elijah was hiding from Jezebel. An angel woke him up in his pitstop and instructed him to get up and eat. After eating, he fell asleep again. The angel woke him up again to eat and drink. The Lord was preparing Elijah for what was ahead of him. After eating and drinking, Elijah traveled for 40 days and 40 days to get to Mount Horeb.

From Elijah’s experience, it is easy to think he was a coward; thus, he decided to run away from Jezebel. The truth is, he needed time in his pitstop to be strengthened for what was ahead of him.

Have you ever been in your pitstop, and someone labeled you lazy? It happens because we are in a world that is all about grinding all the time. Do not let the noise around you keep you from taking time to refuel, remember, and rejuvenate.

In this episode, we will look at the distractions we experience in our pitstops and how we can avoid them. Listen in, learn, and get inspired.

[10:10] Why distraction is the enemy of greatness

[10:55] Distractions that keep us from aligning with God

Magical Quotes from the Episode:

“Success in our definition equals personal alignment, plus self-development times faith.” [03:47]

“Pitstops are necessary, because you don’t know the length of the next string or the next leg of this race.” [08:33]

“The enemy of greatness is distraction.”- [09:49]

“We believe that excellence and greatness are in relationship together. But when you’re distracted, that means that you are allowing other things to pull from your capacity. If you’re not using all your capacities to do a great thing, how can you actually be an excellence?”- [10:23]

“As children of God, if we focus on the noise, we’re not aligned to the creator of heaven and earth, who wants to give us beautiful, sweet tasting fruit to give this world that may not know what that even tastes like.”- [15:28]

“God is the pitstop and he gives you foresight, he prophesized to you, here’s what here’s what’s coming, regardless of what you’ve been experienced.”- [22:10]

Episode 13: Purpose of the Pitstop

Understanding the Purpose of the Pitstop

Are you feeling tired of success? Chances are, you do not have a pitstop where you reenergize and rejuvenate. You also could be trying to multitask, ending up serving more than one master. In this episode, we will be looking at the purpose of a Pitstop and how it helps us from getting distracted.

Do you remember the two sisters of Lazarus, Mary, and Martha? When Jesus came to their house, Mary sat at the feet of Jesus while Martha was busy handling chores. Martha came to Jesus complaining that her sister was not helping her out. Jesus said to her,” You are worried and upset about many things. But few things are needed, or indeed only one. Mary has chosen, what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

In our lives, we find ourselves distracted by the many things we do, and we find that we are not focused on our purpose. We have welcomed multitasking in our lives; thus, we hardly concentrate on one thing at a time. We do not know where to draw the line between urgent and important.

Today we will look at the essence of bringing our fully aligned selves to battle since it is one of our greatest weapons. We will also look at the reasons why we need to have pitstops.

Episode 11: I’m Tired of Success Because…I Don’t Have a Sanctuary (Pt 3)

Lack of Courage: The Essence of having a Sanctuary

Do you have a sanctuary? What’s your sanctuary routine?

We all need a sanctuary and a routine that works for us. A sanctuary gives us room to get vulnerable, cleansed, and refreshed. When Jesus was on earth, He always took time to retreat and soak in the presence of God.

We live in a world where so many things happen, and if we do not take spare time to be in our sanctuaries, things may get so difficult, and we might end up feeling overwhelmed. When you learn to retreat, it gives you room to learn more about yourself, gets close to God, gets refreshed and arms you with the courage you need to show up to the world.

As we continue our courage talks today, we will look at the essence of having a sanctuary and a consistent sanctuary routine.

“Spending time with God allows you to do the things that God calls you to do in the areas of life where they’re not commonly done.”- [17:20]

“We need that compound on interest from heaven, to be able to speak life into the world, and lead and be in our workplaces and to lead our families. If I don’t have that compound interest that I’m that’s dripping from the rain of heaven. How in the world am I going to salt the earth?”- [19:59]

“The less shame I have about my relationship with God the more courage I will have out there in the world.”- [24:40]

“Every sanctuary doesn’t have to look the same.”- [25:29]

Episode 10: I’m Tired of Success Because…I Lack Courage (Pt 2)

Have you ever found yourself minimizing your uniqueness, and you end up not being successful? It is time to demolish that. God made you unique for you to achieve a particular purpose. Trying to be who you are not extremely tiring while walking on the path of who you are, is energizing and encouraging.

As humans, we tend to view our weaknesses as our liabilities, but God doesn’t want us to see them that way. He wants us to look at our weaknesses as assets to bring honor and glory to His name. For instance, look at Kevin. God gave him a unique voice. He thought his voice was weak because he couldn’t sing like other people. God’s plan for him was to use his voice to encourage other people to embrace their uniqueness and bring praise to God.

Every weakness, every disadvantage that you were born with. Maybe this is exactly what God is going to use as a testimony so that He can receive the glory when you conquer the weakness.

This episode will give you the courage to deal with your threats and give you the motivation require.
