Impact of Innovation on Business | I'm a Little Buzzed

Impact of Innovation on Business | I'm a Little Buzzed

Why is innovation important in business?

Easy. Without it, you will die.

The impact of innovation on business is sooooo underrated. As business operators, we often get stuck in our own little lane of things that have worked or are working. And we simply don’t carve out enough time to look at things that don’t exist in our company, or industry, that could completely change the landscape of our future.

Standing out from your competitors is a tough thing in most industries these days. But as Uber, Airbnb, WeWork, and GrubHub have all shown us, innovating in even the biggest industries in the world, is certainly achievable.

I know we are all trying to become the next billion-dollar unicorn 😏🦄 but you don’t always have to innovate big, in order to stand out.

All you need is an MVP. A minimum viable product, that can be the baby step toward doing something a little bit better than you did yesterday.

These little innovations, when added up, can lead to big changes.

McDonald’s didn’t invent the hamburger, they just made it faster. That innovation launched an entire industry. (now if they could innovate just a little bit more, maybe they can make it healthy 🙏🏻).

In today’s show, the fellas talk about small little innovations that can add up to big results for your company.

Memento Mori: Remember You Will Die | I’m a Little Buzzed

Do you wanna live your life to the fullest?

The one life that we all have? Well, then I have for little words to motivate you: you’re going to die.

Download our 50 Ways to Live a Fulfilling life here: https://bit.ly/nobull50tips

Now I understand that a lot of people have anxiety about death and dying. But you have to realize, right now you are living. If you stress about “what happens when I die” all the time, then that takes up space where you would normally be thinking about “living”.

Death can be a scary thing, but life can be a happy, energetic, joy-filled, fulfilling, out-of-this-world epic thing to focus on.

In the show, the fellas talk about using Momento Mori as a way to motivate yourself to live life to the fullest.

Carpe diem 🤘

Cheers to life and business, may you prosper in both.

Enjoy the show.

From Shark Tank to Bankruptcy... and What Comes Next | Dough Bar Doughnuts

Hey ya, #BuzzedNation!

Welcome to another episode of #Imalittlebuzzed. If you’re a Shark Tank fan, you’ll probably recognize today’s guests, Marquez and Ondrea, the owners of Dough Bar Doughnuts!

They started Dough Bar Doughnuts in early 2015, from a 600 square foot apartment in the heart of Silicon Valley, looking for healthier alternatives to their favorite sweet treats. Marquez and Ondrea then quickly established a brand on social media that celebrated the fusion between fun food and an active lifestyle.

After launching in April 2015, Dough Bar Doughnuts became a viable business. In 2016, they auditioned for ABC's Shark Tank. While the two made it fairly far, they were encouraged to return when their business had another year of growth under its belt. In 2017, following their wedding and in the midst of pregnancy, the couple returned to the Shark Tank audition and made the cut! They stood before the Sharks and ended up wheeling a deal with Barbara Corcoran.

After the mind-blowing experience on Shark Tank, Dough Bar Doughnuts co-founders decided to move their entire operation to Colorado in order to bring all production in house. This massive move evoked challenges unimaginable, which the company is still working diligently to resolve.

After filing for bankruptcy and recovering ownership of The Dough Bar, what are the next steps for Ondrea and Marquez? You’ll find out in this episode. Tune in!
