The Champ is Here...
Mark it down at age 35 years old, I finally gave my brother a compliment (or so he says). Older brothers are NOT supposed to give compliments, but I had to tell baby bro that I look up to him, and respect him for the man and father that he's become. Brandon is a big-time boss at his day job as an attorney, and he comes home and does it all over again for a wife and FOUR children under the age of 10. On this podcast, I talk to him about being a hero at home, and how he manages his time so that his family gets the best of his energy. I learned a LOT from him on this episode, and that's the last compliment he gets! Listen in, and send us feedback. Oh, and come join our Impact Dad community on facebook.

Wealthy Living Hacks- Leveling the Legal Playing Field
This episode was awesome! Sometimes, the stuff we have to talk about as dads isn't sexy. But it's necessary. Mr. C.A. Murff, Regional Vice-President for LegalShield joins us to talk about how to protect ourselves, our families, and our businesses. Equal justice under law is typically a myth for those that don't have the funds to participate in that environment. Together, we explored the system that allows us to all access top-notch attorneys, for less than $1 per day. If you like what you hear, go connect with him at www.impactdad.com/legalshield

Appreciate Her
Yes, this podcast is for men and fathers, but we all know that women make the world go round. Today, we had a little fun, quick episode with  Mr. Christian, (my son), who dropped by to give us an honest, 5-year old perspective on how much he appreciates his mommy. Guys, we need to be better about showing the mother of our children how much we respect and appreciate the sacrifices she makes for HER impact in our children's lives. Whether you're split from the mother of your child, or currently still together, remember, your kids are watching how you interact and show your appreciation/ respect. I'm speaking to myself on this one too. We can ALL do more in this area, because these women allow us to be us, and make our IMPACT in our own way. Love to know your thoughts on this one...

Beating the System
Let's face it- the ideal scenario is to never have to go to court to fight for custody of your children. But if you do, it's important to know how to do it in a way that won't hurt your kids even more. You may have heard that courts tend to be empathetic towards mothers, and that it's hard for dads to win. Well, I want to introduce you to DeAndre Etherly, because he did just that! Join us for season 2, episode 2 to hear about his journey through the courts, and what he's doing to make sure that his kids get the best of his energy. LOVED recording this one. Check it out!

Participation Trophies
It's a sign of the times that with everything that's crazy in our society today, we're giving our kids a way out. When I was growing up, there were only two things: winning and losing. Now I'm not here to say that you can't be gracious in victory or defeat, and I'm certainly not saying that there's nothing that can be learned in the process, but at least back then, we knew where we stand. If we won, it validated the hard work we put in. If we lost, it signified the need for improvement.  But today's kids can get trophies just for participating, and I'm NOT OKAY WITH IT! Join me inside, and let's discuss. I'd love your feedback!

Fatherhood Circle
This week, I interviewed Mr. Mark Winkler from the Fatherhood Circle, Manhood Camp and author of "My Daughter's Keeper", due out this summer. Mark and his team are doing an incredible job of making an impact in Los Angeles, recruiting and molding our youthful men to grow up with the proper tangibles to be beacons of hope for our future society. When Mark first reached out to us, I could tell his heart was pure towards the same mission we have here at Impact Dad.

Fit to be Healthy
On this episode we're joined by health guru Terry Givens from www.ResetYourBody.com. Terry is an author and accomplished public speaker who has built a business and a living showing people how to reverse the aging process in their bodies (resetting), and gain control of their health. For years, Terry has spoken with family men like us regarding the extreme need to focus as much on health as we do on all of our other responsibilities.

Real Talk
As we gear up for the next phases of this podcast and community, we take a break and talk about some of the non-negotiable qualities of Impact Dads in the community. While our hope is that every dad is an excited, willing member of our community, we know there are some dads out there that still have some poor ulterior motives. You wouldn't believe what happened to me recently! I haven't been this fired up in a while. I apologize in advance for the direct nature of this podcast.

New Beginnings
Why avoid the elephant in the room? Divorce/ separation is a difficult subject. But it doesn't have to be, as long as the kids are the main priority. Our guest, famed author and public speaker Christopher Hughes joins us to talk about putting the kids' best interest first and making a big impact. This was one of my favorite interviews because of the raw authenticity of a Dad making a stand for his kids.

Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters
I'm so honored to share an interview with serial entrepreneur, Serious Dad Nick Sorensen. Nick and I have known each other for a long time, and I'm so proud to watch him as father, and inspired that he still reads books and listens to audios on how he can be better for the women in his family. He's got a house-full of women, and he's doing it right. You're gonna LOVE how simple being an impact dad is when Nick breaks it down.

Money Can't Buy...
Today's episode holds one of the biggest and best lessons that I've ever learned regarding parenting and being a dad; and it just so happens that I learned it on a dance floor. I'll give you a hint: I had my priorities out of order because of what I thought was needed. Man was I wrong!

Raising Kids in Christ
This week I sat down with one of my true heroes and mentors. Jamahal Boyd is a pillar of the community, a budding entrepreneur, and incredibly grounded family man, (married father of 3.) Mr. Boyd talks about his walk with Christ and how it has been instrumental in raising 3 incredible children. He acknowledges that none of it would be possible if they didn't know Christ. We are unapologetic Christians here at Impact Dad, and Mr. Boyd's story gives us all hope for our own future as parents!

Family Over Money
This week, we interviewed one of my good friends, who also happens to be one of the most successful people I know. Danny Gasemy is a multi-millionaire and has a heart of gold. But cupid got a hold of Danny last year, and now he's a husband and Bonus father figure to 3 beautiful girls. Find out how his life has changed, and what he did to re-arrange his priorities to become an ultimate Impact Dad.

March 26, 2017
Many can pinpoint a specific time period, a specific event or even a specific day when their lives changed significantly. I'm no different. For me, that day was March 26, 2017. That was the day that my life changed forever. It was my wedding day. It was also the day that I became a dad for the first time...
