“Every million is a million worth of impact” - Lauren Tickner (CEO of Impact School) I had not planned to say these words as I gave a speech at The High Net Connect Awards which Impact School sponsored on 4th November. After speaking to thousands of people from their community, there’s a continued theme I noticed time and time again…. Money may get you started. But it sure as heck won’t keep you going. And you won’t ever make a lot of money if what you do isn’t making a real impact. People buy thanks to the value you provide - so what can you do to be more valuable? Something I spend a LOT of time thinking about is the results that Impact School clients get for their own clients. We are on a mission to empower companies to deliver life-changing results globally, and make millions as a byproduct of that. This is really important to me, as CEO of Impact School - and to @noorvbarrage, as COO of Impact School…because both of our siblings had their freedom stripped away from them. My brother is 23 but his mental age is 2. He has epilepsy, autism, and has to be in a wheelchair and use a feeding tube. Noor’s sister @type101withghalia (and now a friend of mine) was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 17 which totally changed the way she could live and the things she can do. When Impact School gets a new client, we know we will not just help change that company forever. We will change the lives of all the clients of the company we serve - and all the people/businesses surrounding our clients’ clients. We began turning away clients who just want to make money who aren’t truly fantastic at what they do. And it feels bloody fantastic.
