My apologies for the delay for this episode! Last weekend I took my young mare to her first ridden show and the podcast had to take a backseat. I hope you all enjoy this conversation!
Deanna Preis is a trainer and advocate of the horse, focusing on healthy movement and happy horses. She is located in southern Illinois in the United States. She has a bachelor's of science degree in biological sciences, as well as many equine specific anatomy courses and classical training programs that she draws from to help support the horse and keep them moving and working in a way that will help them stay healthy and comfortable well into old age, using classical dressage principles to help horses of all disciplines. Faith Larson of Oak Creek Equine is committed to helping equine clients and owners every step of the way by providing a whole horse approach to equine bodywork. During sessions she uses myofascial release, craniosacral, lymphatic drainage, and a few other modalities to help your horse release the physical and emotional restrictions within their body. Jodi Ely is an FEI rider who specializes in dressage and eventing. Her main goal is to help horses and riders of all levels and disciplines reach their top potential. She realizes that everyone’s ambitions, abilities and budgets differ and aims to identify each rider’s goals and develop a system that helps them reach their personal best.
Jodi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota in 1982. As a youth she competed in eventing, dressage, vaulting, roman riding, drill team, and formation riding.
Jodi has earned her USDF bronze, silver and gold medals. She holds USEF /USDF “S” dressage judge’s license, USEF/WDAA “R” Western dressage license, USEF/USEA Young Event and Future Event Horse licenses and is certified in Freestyle.
She serves on many Western Dressage committees and was Secretary and President of Central States Dressage and Eventing Asssociation.
Jodi has over 30 years’ experience riding, teaching, and training in dressage and eventing. She owns and operates Trista Farm LLC which has locations in Minnesota and Florida.

For the 3rd episode in this series, I spoke with an equine chiropractor, Dr. Sarah Haggbloom. She is a chiropractor and bodyworker who specializes in John F. Barnes myofascial release. She treats both humans and animals using chiropractic adjustments, myosfascial release, craniosacral therapy, and visceral manipulation. She has been riding and showing horses since the age of 5, and has raised and trained quarter and paint horses with her family.

It was love at first sight for Rachel and Titan, but it took years of patience to develop their trust and bond as Titan was a sensitive guy, head shy, prone to spooking, and difficult to catch at times. Together they competed successfully in eventing and they also enjoyed trail rides together. Now, Rachel has two young horses and runs her business, Legacy Equine Nutrition, in Ocala.

Heart Horses 10: Amber Paulson & Luna: How a sassy little mare chose her
When Amber was looking for her next horse, she wanted a young palomino, black, or blue roan. Although Luna was marketed as a blue roan, she wasn’t. Luna was a young flea-bitten grey quarter horse filly with a spitfire personality who followed Amber up the trailer ramp to their new life together, doing gaming, trails, jumping, and dressage together.

With Lin’s first heart horse, Tippy, it was love at first sight. When an injury prevented them from continuing jumping, Lin’s commitment to Tippy led her to find what they could still do together: dressage and trail riding. When she lost Tippy, it was 2 years before she found her heart opening up to and connecting with her new mare, Zeta.
