Drinking Static, Don't Care (No Sabo Kids, Moms shopping at Ross, The Ending is important)

Well, we're here. The season finale of ILS. Do not worry though, we will be back soon. Until then, on this episode we put Vero through the healthy ringer of trying to figure out which sparkling water is which. As far as topic is concerned, we touch on Latino/LatinX community becoming predominantly No Sabo kids, why our Latina moms love shopping at Ross, and if the ending to a show, movie, album, etc., is really that important. Vero also talks about her experience at this year's Austin Film Festival and Ricardo gives a recommendation to one of his favorite rapper at the moment for this episode's Good Looking Out. Listen and then listen again!

Appreciate all the continued support from you all!

Oppression Olympics 2021 ( Bumble Dating, Stop Asian Hate, Model Minority Myth, Boulder, Procrastination, Farrow vs. Allen)

ILS here once again, and you know what's buzzing with more awkwardness and entertainment than the 2007 animate film "Bee Movie" starring Jerry Seinfeld? Vero's attempting to make connections on Bumble! What a way to start the show if I do say so myself. But, with those lighthearted moments, also arrives more somber ones. We discuss the recent tragedies that have affected the Asian community throughout the country, and a more deeper conversation that brings into question how other minorities view the validity of the Asian community status as a minority themselves. The seriousness doesn't stop there, as we also talk about the mass immigration of children from Central America and how the U.S. is responding this time. Lastly, the triple threat of Unpopular Opinions, What The Hell Twitter, and Good Looking Out comes out swinging hard! Stay tune for this and more. Don't forget to subscribe and share! One Year Later...Breonna Taylor #sayhername (Taco Bet, Revoking the Latino Card, Raya and the Last Dragon, Minari)

Before we get into it, we need to acknowledge that this episode was recorded during what is now one year since the heinous murder of Breonna Taylor. Even though her killing and the subsequent search for justice is not a topic, this episode is dedicated in her memory. This episode is also dedicated to the all the lives lost in the last year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic within the United States. Please visit the links at the bottom of the description for more information regarding both Breonna Taylor and COVID-19.

You've ever made a bet to eat nothing but delicious tacos for 60 days straight while at the same time losing weight just to win $50 from your little brother? Well, that's what Vero has on her mind. We also talk about how she beasted on this past week's National Pie Day. Ricardo gets into his theory as to why Hispanics have such an affinity for Chinese food, and why do those who have a more emotional connection to something feel like they have more "rights" to that thing. Additionally, we bring up the topic of "revoking someone's Latino card and the impact it can have on their identity. Of course to round things out, we got you cover on the lunacy of the bird app with "What the Hell Twitter", along with some more exclusive watches that take a little bit of coin to view on "Good Looking Out". Check it out and make sure to subscribe and share the podcast!
