Inspiration Strikes ...Typically At 3 In The Morning

By Jaay (AMS)

A glimpse into the mind of a queer introvert. Unfiltered. Raw. Unconventional. Speculative. My thoughts, stories, essays, poems, and other musings on just about anything that sparks my interest. Some of it’s fiction. Some of it’s truth. All of it’s me. Welcome to “Inspiration Strikes... Typically At 3 In The Morning.”

New Year, New... Books?

New Year, New... Books?

edit: Apologies! After listening to the episode again, I realized I never said the title of the Omegaverse webtoon. It's called "Unromantic" by Jeong Seokchan. Again, sorry for the dumb mistake oTL

Just as the title says, it's a new year... and new book recs because BOY have I been binge reading like crazy. I also talk about how and WHY I book binge because... context is key. xD

And now! This Week On, “America The Crazy AF”

And now! This Week On, “America The Crazy AF”

January 6th, 2021. A day that will go down in history as the day America straight up lost all integrity for itself, its people, and the democracy it claims to stand for and uphold. I had words. Angry words. Y’all get to hear them. What a way to start off the new year! 😑

Inspiration Struck... Now Let’s See If It Sticks (Fixed Re-Upload!)

APOLOGIES! Here is last week’s episode! oTL I finally figured out what was wrong with anchor... it was actually a combination of my Internet connection and an outdated app. That’s why it wasn’t syncing properly so I thought the episodes were scheduled when really NOTHING uploaded to the app at all so nothing could post... 😵 Anyway! Hope you enjoy this one a bit late, and look out for this week’s episode on Thursday as usual 👍🏼

Public Health And Safety Announcement From Moi 2.0

Title kinda says it all. This one goes out to my homies with mental health issues (where you at?), the elderly (I see you, obaasan and ojiisan), and to all our heroic first responders and front line peeps. This also goes out to the rest of us who could be doing more to help others EVEN WITHOUT BREAKING QUARANTINE.

Would You Rather Be Liked Or Loved?

Would You Rather Be Liked Or Loved?

A conversation with a “little person” turned into a topic for discussion. Kids honestly ask the darnedest things, I swear... And in the second half of this episode we get to take a peek at my incredibly questionable reading choices. SPOILER ALERT! Absolutely none of it’s safe for work UNLESS YOU’RE WORKING FROM HOME AND CAN HIDE AWAY FROM THE LITTLE ONES! Also, a DISCLAIMER: I call children A LOT of different things—many of which not to be repeated in polite company—but, specifically, for this episode I call them “little people/a little person”. I just wanted to clarify because I would never, EVER use that phrase in relation to someone with dwarfism, or just short people in general. That’s just rude. They may be vertically challenged, but they’re people just like any other. Children on the other hand are tiny creatures not yet inducted into the rest of the human race and must be addressed as such. “Tiny creatures,” “little people,” “parasitic entities” or just simply “parasites” are among my chief titles for these small humans running amok and consuming all our food.

LGBTQ Reviews: Genetic Snare - Laura Baumbach & On Wings Of Passion - MD Grimm (COMPLETELY UNEDITED)

What do you do when you have no idea what to do for your weekly podcast episode? You upload an old-as-fuck unedited recording from last year and embarrass yourself for all the world to see—I mean, hear! Cuz WHY NOT?! Actually, I might make this a thing. Call ‘em “R-R-R Reviews” for “Raw, Real, and Ranty Reviews” Huh. I kinda like it... oh, but WARNING! SPOILERS ABOUND! If you have not read these books, PLEASE DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS REVIEW—rant... rant. Definitely a rant. Just don’t do it. This is meant as more of a commentary/rant/not-discussion of what happens in these books. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
