He grew up with struggle and unrest after his parents divorced when he was only 1 year of age. Throughout school, he showed tremendous skill and talent as an athlete and ended up as a High School All American earning scholarships to local universities. Instead of choosing football as a professional career, he selected the armed forces and joined the Marine Corps. Quinton states that this is where God shaped his standards of conduct, moral integrity, fortitude, perseverance, and leaderships skills. Those standards, skills and most importantly his belief in God would come to serve him greatly as he has been met with numerous tragedies in life. In 1982, he accepted his call to ministry and went on to minister with prison and street ministry. Since that time, He has served in many capacities in the church including pastor, teacher, deacon, pastoral care, children’s ministry, just to name a few.
