What is the surest way to accurately predict what someone will do in any given situation? Answer: Spend lots of time getting to know them, their attitudes, their mannerisms, their MO, if you will. So how can we begin to know with any certainty what Jesus would do, what choice He would make, what He would say, and how He would treat someone? Glad you asked! Let’s talk about it in this episode.

Hold onto your seats! If you think I’m passionate on my own, get ready for a passion overload! Author, pastor, coach, and serial entrepreneur Shiraz Siddique is here to fire us up and challenge us to discover and accept our own unique purpose and then to stay the course. Plus, he is hilarious!
Friends, God does not have to give us grace for a race He never called us to! We cannot embrace the grace for our place until we accept the race God has placed us in. Before we can embrace the grace for our race we must first determine, are we running the right race in the first place?

Ep. 83: Graced: How God Redeems and Restores the Broken with Author and Speaker Teresa Whiting
No one else can tell your story…These were the words the Lord spoke to Teresa Whiting’s heart as she prepared to write a women’s Bible study. But Teresa’s is a story of sexual brokenness. It is messy and she didn’t think her story would make for great Bible study material. Yet as she leaned into this thought the Lord brought her to the stories of six women in scripture with deep sexual wounds.
Whether something done to you or brokenness resulting from your own poor choices, sexual brokenness comes in many packages. And whether or not sexual brokenness is part of your story you will find great insight into the heart of God for His people, messiness and all.
Teresa’s new study, “Graced: How God Redeems and Restores the Broken” is sure to fan the flames of your faith.
And if this topic makes you want to run in the other direction, I challenge you, push play and sit with this for a bit. The path to healing doesn’t have to be harsh. Teresa offers a path to gentle restoration. In her you will find a dear friend and compassionate guide to walk with you on your journey to wholeness….because God is a Healer of the broken, a Redeemer of the lost, a Restorer of dreams and a Giver of hope, in Whose hands no hurt is ever in vain.
I encourage you to get your hands on this new Bible study. Don’t wait! Buy it now, and begin your path to restoration, wholeness, and a deeper understanding of the Father’s great love for you and plans to use your story….mess and all!

Ep 82: Trouble Getting Motivated? 2 Bible Verses That Can Help When You’re Feeling Unmotivated
Ever struggle to get motivated? Yes! Me. All the time. I know it's true that once you get started things will pick up momentum. I've experienced this over and over again, but sometimes I just can’t find the energy to even get things rolling in the first place.
If this has ever been an issue for you, you are going to love this short and sweet episode. This is session two of the “Life in the Highlights” series. Just this week the Lord brought me to a scripture in the book of Haggai, of all places. And it has rocked me and totally shifted my perspective on getting and staying motivated. So, please! Ep. 81: Jesus Says YOU Are Necessary!
“It was necessary for Him to go through Samaria.”
Why did these words make me cry? Why did a phrase so easily overlooked, seemingly insignificant grab me at my core until my eyes burned and my breath came out in a whispered, “Thank you, Jesus.”
Friend, YOU are necessary. In this short phrase above Jesus proved once and for all that what the world may see as a lost cause He considers to be absolutely vital! Join me for this episode as we unpack this tiny line I highlighted many years ago. I truly believe you will find it to be a discovery well worth your time.
I invite you to join me for “Life in the Highlights,” a truly random journey where we will crack open my Bible and see what truths jump out at us from scripture I have highlighted days, weeks, or even years earlier. This series won’t be predictable or even without interruption. It will undoubtedly be full of fiery detours and inspiring interviews. But in the in-between, we will land together in the increasingly worn pages of my study Bible as we look at life-giving, soul-transforming verses we discover accented in a rainbow of colors.

Ep. 77: Alive in Jesus (Colossians 3:1-11)
Once your faith is in Him and not yourself you can act motivated by love not striving to earn love. When you know it is by grace through faith in Jesus that you are forgiven and united with God, you can stop trying so hard.
Take a deep breath. That is the mystery and the good news of the true gospel. You don’t have to get it right to be made right.
It is about to get real. We’re going to put some feet on our faith. It’s time to live different. It’s time to be alive in Jesus!
Let’s get into this study from Colossians 3.

I am such a speck inspector! And unfortunately, (especially for Tim) my marriage is often not exempt from my expertise.
You know what I’m talking about, right? The passage in Luke about the beam and the speck?
I seem to have an uncanny ability to see around or even straight through the beam in my eye to help Tim identify the speck in his. Praise God, I’m not a bad as I used to be, but no doubt, I still have plenty of work to do!

I’m guessing that for many of you the question, “What is your word of the year,” either excites you or just really annoys you. I get it. I have gone back and forth many times. Let's talk about it.

In this episode, I will share with you what I think about this whole “word of the year” thing. And yes, I’ll even share my own word for this year. Feel free to steal it!

Ep 71: 19 Bible Verses for Managing Holiday Anxiety [Re-Air]
Does the thought of “home for the holidays” sometimes conjure up more anxiety than warm-fuzzies? If you are heading into this season with slightly more trepidation than comfort and joy this episode is for you! Here you will find 19 Bible verses for managing holiday anxiety. Plus, a list of positive confessions, based on Scripture which you can use to reset and renew your mind as we go into special season.
So often this time of year I hear horror stories and watch as fear and anxiety cripple so many strong, beautiful Christian women. Does something inside you threaten to revert back to that insecure, middle school girl when faced with the ones who witnessed those fateful times in your life? Me too! But, sister…We can fight this!
If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, the very same God who raised Him from the dead lives on the inside of you, and you can walk in that power each and every moment. No circumstances, no feelings, and no past hurts have the right to take you under their control because you are a woman of God. You do not have to bow down to the old chains the enemy is trying to ensnare you with.
WARNING: This episode contains weapons of mass destruction! Use these to fight the battles that rage in your mind, and the enemy doesn’t stand a chance!

Ep 70: Reflections of Stillness: Showing Christ to the World Around Us [Re-Air]
My friends, there is power in the stillness. It is in the quiet – in the peace – that we can most accurately reflect the glory of our God. If you feel your soul is a jumbled, turbulent mess I beg you, make the time to be still.
Still waters reflect perfectly the image of the sun. Raging waters reflect nothing. When my soul is still and at peace I can beautifully reflect the image of the Son to the world around me, but when my soul within me is turbulent and tossing there’s no reflection at all. It’s merely a churning mess.

Ep 66: Finding True Worth with Maribeth Hinton
In part 2 of my conversation with John Michael and Maribeth Hinton we talk about the freedom of leaning into your individual creative process. Maybe productivity and success are not measured by comparing ourselves to others’ highlight reels. Maybe it is about learning to lean into the unique rhythms of your own pace of life with which the Creator purposefully designed you.
And as for “life balance” – Perhaps balance is less about all things being equal and more about all things being as they should be.
If you haven’t yet, be sure to pick up John Michael’s brand-new book, Imaginate: Unlocking Your Purpose with Creativity and Collaboration! This book strikes the not-so-easy balance between insightful and entertaining, and makes a perfect gift for any age.

Ep 65: Imaginate: Finding Purpose Through Creativity and Collaboration with John Michael Hinton
If you don’t already know him, I can’t wait to introduce you to “my friend John!” I'm talking about the one and only... because the world is not ready for more than one... incredible magician, speaker, and author, John Michael Hinton. There is so much more to this guy than a Rubik's Cube and an epic head of red hair.
Perhaps you saw John Michael’s mind-blowing appearance on The CW’s “Penn and Teller: Fool Us.” From never-before-seen tricks with the Rubik’s cube to mystifying card tricks, John’s shows always end by circling back to the real Supernatural, the King of Hearts Himself.
John Michael is an inspiring example of how when we lean into the uniqueness with which God made us and the passion He put in our hearts and combine that with a desire to know and share Jesus, super-natural things happen!

Ep. 54: What Does the Bible Say About Money and Possessions? And What’s the Deal With Stewardship?
Money. Money. Money! What the heck do we do with it? How do we act if we have it? And how do we act if we don’t?! Is it wrong to want it? Is money evil? Friends, the Bible has a lot to say about money and possessions. Not just what to do with them and how to use them (aka Stewardship), but also what we should (or more accurately should not) allow them to do with us.
This episode is taken from a live session my husband, Tim and I had the privilege of doing in April 2020 with Pastor Jonathan Key at First Baptist Church Indialantic. Grab your Bibles and enjoy following along with us for this practical and engaging chat about Biblical Money management principles, whether it’s wrong to have a lot of stuff, and so much more!

She settled and raised her family just 15 miles outside of Mayfield and was in the town just 15 minutes before the tragic tornado touched down on the evening of Friday, December 10, 2021. Oh…and she’s also my mom!
This event hit very close to home for me…. literally. In this episode you’ll hear personal stories from the front lines as well as some inspiring “But God” moments which have already come to light. You’ll also learn how you can be a part of the help and healing of this community.
