Today, we sat down with Christian Clinical Social Work and Therapist, Desirae Williams, and discussed everything from abandonment, to demonic forces. She shares with us her story, and how God brought light into her darkness. She speaks on undealt traumas, abandonment from parents, divorce, generational curses, demonic encounters, the effects of abortion, depression, and the proper way to move forward and heal from all of this. I've lost passion for God, I just don't care as much as I used to, I want to love God the way I did in the beginning! No matter which way I turn I can’t make myself do right. I want to but I can’t. When I want to do good, I don’t; and when I try not to do wrong, I do it anyway… ...In my mind I want to be God’s willing servant, but instead I find myself still enslaved to sin. These are words directly quoted from the Bible. Who’s you might ask? Apostle Paul, a man who we respect, look up to, and learn from, yet he said the very things we say to ourselves everyday. Everyone is at war with their sinful nature, and it can be discouraging and disheartening when we lose these battles constantly. And so the question we ask ourselves is: How do I resist it? How do I recognize the flesh in my life? Listen in as we discuss these questions, expose the flesh, and share what we can do to be ready for the fight.

Why does it matter to have childlike faith? What does that even mean? How do I achieve that? Why did Jesus say we must receive the kingdom like a child? In a well known scene in the Gospels we see the disciples wrestling with the question of “who will be the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?”. Only to have Jesus respond by saying that they must have the faith and the attitude of a child. In this episode we break down Jesus’ unforeseen response, and learn how to achieve this kind of faith, as well as understanding the importance of it even to the point that Jesus says without this kind of attitude, we will not enter the kingdom of heaven.

I won't believe in something I can't see. If God just came down, everyone would believe! Why is having faith so important? Can’t I just believe in myself? I've only had myself, why do I need God now? Many of us say “I won't believe it until I see it”, not realizing that we put our faith in many things without knowing the outcome, whether that be: pilots, money, friends, or even ourselves. And we choose to put our faith in uncertain things, instead of the one who made ALL things.
