Three Augusta University students have been selected as speakers for the Spring 2023 Commencement ceremonies at the Augusta Marriott. Katie Foley, Isaiah Maddox, and Jasmine Coleman will each share their unique experiences and insights with their respective audiences. Maddox and Foley join us. Foley, a Master of Physician Assistant degree candidate, will speak about the value of kindness and grace in overcoming personal challenges. Maddox, a graduating senior in Health, Society, and Policy, will encourage his audience to "Fail Forwards" and embrace the unpredictability of life's journey. Coleman, a graduating senior in Elementary Education, will discuss the importance of self-acceptance and individuality. Each speaker brings their own perspective to the ceremony, reflecting the diverse experiences of the Augusta University community.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Julie Kneuker, Augusta University's Title IX Coordinator shares the importance of Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Title IX Sexual Misconduct. Also, Amanda Cruz, diversity and inclusion training coordinator, tells us her story and the resources the university provides.

There are also other events happening this month. Communicon, a student-led event from Augusta University's Communication Department, brings awareness to everything the department has to offer. This event is happening 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 27 at the Maxwell Theater Patio.

Matt Davis, coordinator for Outdoor Recreation programs at Augusta University, shares the exciting activities that the outdoors offers through his programs. Also, Lauren Ford, a sophomore biology major and trip leader, joins us to talk about how much fun it is to connect with nature and students.

The Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University celebrated 214 students who are taking the next step in their careers as physicians during the annual Match Day celebration March 17 at SRP Park. Idris Ali and Amanda Delgado, fourth-year MCG students, give us behind the scene access to the excitement of Match Day 2023.

It's Women's History Month, Angela Taylor, an Augusta University College of Nursing student shares her inspiring journey of becoming a healthcare provider. From being a mother and wife to previously serving in the Army, her ambition has led to her success in everything she does.   Gokila Dorai, PhD, assistant professor for the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences, advises women students to stay motivated and expand further into the male dominated field. She also shares the growing impact artificial intelligence will on education, and how it currently being taught in classrooms.   Cierra Williams, our reigning Miss Augusta University and a soon to be graduate from cybersecurity, joins Dorai to share her undergraduate experiences  and the impact teachers have made on her career-based decisions.

Danita Myler, president of the Augusta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, and Joe Moore, vice basileus of the Psi Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, discuss the impact they've made in the community since joining their respective organizations.

Quinton Taylor, a Hull College business student and a vice president of Eta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., joins Audrey Spry, charter member of the Mu Xi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, to share their experiences at Augusta University, and what it means to be a part of their organization. 

Elena Petrova, PhD, a licensed psychologist and director for Student Counseling and Psychological Services, explains the resources available for students to improve mental health and addresses the misconception about receiving help, including the new online platform Togetherall. 

Also, Stacy Roberts, lecturer of Management at the Hull College of Business and certified executive and leadership trainer, shares how she supports Black History Month while developing leaders of tomorrow.

Isaiah Maddox and Caroline Gibson, our Homecoming King and Queen, return to share their thoughts on dating in 2023 as well as get us exciting for Homecoming Week.

Softball players Sophie Baker, Alissa Bolinger and Lauren Barrett get us excited for the upcoming season and share how they manage their schedules being student athletes.  Our coaches share their excitement as well. Melissa Brocato, assistant athletic director and head softball coach, alongside Chris Howell, head baseball coach, express how their core values are instilled in their players to ensure their success on and off the field.

It's a new semester and Dale Hartenbug, associate vice president for Campus Services and our chief auxiliary officer shares updates to campus parking, dining and the newly renamed RoarStore. Also, Keytona Johns a fourth-year Communication student, joins as our new cohost of the semester.

We're celebrating a huge milestone! Coach Melissa Brocato gets us excited for softball season and Jacob Burgamy recaps his first season as our season coaching the track and cross country teams including the behind scenes to our trip to Nationals.
