Pray the rosary with me. 1st Sorrowful Mystery - The Agony of Jesus in the Garden (Luk 22:44-45) He was in such agony and he prayed so fervently that his sweat became like drops of blood falling on the ground. When he rose from prayer and returned to his disciples, he found them sleeping from grief. 2nd Sorrowful Mystery - The Scourging at the Pillar (Jn 19:1) Then Pilate took Jesus and had him scourged. 3rd Sorrowful Mystery - Jesus is Crowned With Thorns (Mat 27:28-29) They stripped off his clothes and threw a scarlet military cloak about him. Weaving a crown out of thorns,* they placed it on his head, and a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!" 4th Sorrowful Mystery - Jesus Carried the Cross (Jn 19:17) And carrying the cross himself he went out to what is called the Place of the Skull, in Hebrew, Golgotha. 5th Sorrowful Mystery - The Crucifixion of Our Lord (Luk 23:46) Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commend my spirit"; and when he had said this he breathed his last. The Lord is with you." 2nd Joyful Mystery - The Visitation of Mary to Elizabeth (Luk 1:41-42) When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, "Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. 3rd Joyful Mystery - The Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ (Luk 2:7) And she gave birth to her firstborn son. You are the great pride of Israel! You are the great boast of our nation! By your own hand you have done all this. You have done good things for Israel, and God is pleased with them. May the Almighty Lord bless you forever!" Now there were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washings, each holding twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus told them, "Fill the jars with water." So they filled them to the brim.  3rd Luminous Mystery - The Proclamation of the Kingdom (Mat 10:7-8) As you go, make this proclamation: 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.' Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, drive out demons. Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give. 4th Luminous Mystery - The Transfiguration (Luk 9:29,35) While he was praying, his face changed in appearance and his clothing became dazzling white. Then from the cloud came a voice that said, "This is my chosen Son; listen to him." 5th Luminous Mystery - The Institution of the Eucharist (Luk 22:19-20) Then he took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me."
