Great to be in conversation with Picketa Systems Founder Xavier Hébert-Couturier living in New Brunswick, Canada.  Xavier comes with a background of deep farming roots and he is currently in growth mode for  Picketa Systems,  a new innovative agricultural technology company which is changing the way leaf testing is being conducted in the Agricultural industry.  This particular technology will be a game changer for Farmers everywhere in the world since it is saving them time and money. From a very young age Xavier loved being on the farm especially with his strong interest in breaking things apart and seeing how they worked. He is a true builder and he is not alone in his entrepreneurial journey.  He teamed up with three friends (Dominique, Maxime and Zachary) to build the business which is a little less than two years old.  With access to great professors, business and industry mentors  from institutional organizations to accelerators such as the UNB Technology Management and Entrepreneurship Centre; Energia Ventures Accelerator; Creative Destructive Labs; Quantino and StartUp TNT - the team was able to pivot from a university capstone project to a fully fledged business. Nathan served on an independent board of the family business until he pivoted to pursue a bilingual MBA in Argentina. She is the current owner and operations manager of Pur & Simple located in Saint John, New Brunswick. She is a big promoter of eating healthy and making the right choices when it comes to food. She decided to go with this chain as the concept and brand is exceptional due to the continuous investment into innovation, research and development.  Although she is currently working in the Hospitality and Food Industry, technology plays a big role as data analytics and other tools are used on a daily basis. In this episode Varsha's shares how she pivoted from a successful corporate career to become her own boss.  We discuss her journey;  leadership style; infusing positivity in business; the importance of mentorship.
