Planning a fabulous event takes a lot of work! Here at Distinctly Yours Wedding & Events, wedding are what we do every day (even in our sleep sometimes). We are NOT going to give you checklists or corny sentiments that have nothing to do with who you are as a couple. You need from us is to share the kind of information that will guide so your event is personalize to you and so you don’t make those all too common (and costly) wedding mistakes engaged couples make.
We infuse weddings with your personal style in every detail, so that the entire day is customized to you in a way that can never be duplicated. We believe in slowing down the planning process to allow the art of simplicity (you already have a full plate, right?). I specialize in Love - in telling your Love's story through meaningful moments. And I want to capture each chapter in your love's story. So whether it is the romantic love of your wedding day or the love of your growing family, I focus on capturing moments that give me all the feels, not just the smiley ones. Often I will step back and just let you interact with each other without much interference from me. Other times I will direct you towards positioning and engagement which helps your unique love translate to my lens. My favorite images are usually a series of photos that tell a story...and my final collections are best viewed as a whole, in an album that you can enjoy paging through time and time again... cuddled up and cozy on the couch with a glass of warm tea (or wine!) in your hand. When I'm not juggling the needs of my business and a busy household filled with my husband, two young kids, our dog and the box turtle I've had since I was 10, you can find me drinking a Mangoñada at Cocina del Charro, or shopping the sales at Nordstrom Rack. In the evenings I'm usually editing away while everyone is sleeping, but you might also catch me making jewelry while curled up on the couch watching This is Us (I'm such a sap!), or crafting party decor for some upcoming soirée. I am 100% addicted to Coke Zero, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, and black licorice - but only the kind you can get in The Netherlands, which is where I'm from! I have dual citizenship and speak 2.5 languages (huh?). I consider myself a citizen of the World, and my husband and I make travel a big priority in our lives (check out some of my travel photography). numerous times on leading national wedding blogs, such as Ruffled, 100 Layered
Cake, Style Me Pretty, and Green Wedding Shoes, as well as stunning regional blogs
such as Southern California Bride.
In addition to being a wedding photographer, Cavin is an educator and an avid
blogger of wedding planning tips for brides and grooms. She authored the book A
Bride’s Guide to a Picture Perfect Wedding, which teaches couples how to make simple
changes to their wedding plans to optimize their photography. She believes that
couples who plan their wedding with photography in mind are the couples who

When you hear Paul Santiago, you immediately think, first Asian male supermodel. What people don’t know is he’s also owns a wedding videography company in Southern California called, Boffo Video. Together with his wife, Stella and amazing team, they have filmed over 500 weddings and have traveled across the country to capture the different ways people celebrate their love for one another. He is a Canon ambassador, educator, and now a full fledged podcaster. His love of filmmaking and passion for business has turned this starving artist into a master businessman. After leaving the American Red Cross, Jason went on to pursue an MSW at Dominican University. It was there where he learned that he loved capturing the human emotion and telling people's stories. Although my desire to play in the dirt started a young age. I, Sylvia Green, have over 17 years of professional experience in green (horticulture) industry including floral designer of 5 years. I didn’t always LOVE pulling weeds in the gardens and attending to our small farm animals, but I now look back and appreciate growing up on a game farm out in the country. Because of this, I was able to experience and learn things most kids nowadays don’t always get the chance to. I enjoyed gardening and was able to showcase what I grew and the animals I raised during my 13 years of involvement in our local 4H club. I take pride in what I do and am pleased to offer you the things I am now growing and designing with today.
On June 6th, 2014, my future husband and I walked through our yard, pruners in hand to pick the flowers we wanted for our wedding. As we cut, striped and put stems in the buckets, I realized how blessed we were to have this opportunity. Not only were we getting the freshest flowers possible for our special day, but we shared this magical experience together. How many brides can say they hand chose each stem that went into their bouquets? From that day forward, I married my best friend and dreamed of being able to offer the same experience to other couples. Now almost two years later, Green’s Flower Farm, LLC was created and will be offering the same great experience we had.
