It Matters But It Doesn't

It Matters But It Doesn't

By C.A. Hall
Stripping myself bare. Late night thoughts on creativity, anxiety, being alive, and sh*t I read in books. Personal, intimate, and sometimes articulate. Subjects may also include self-improvement, utter failure, fury, productivity, unplugging, journaling, drinking tea, eating potstickers, loud music, trying to write, using typewriters, finding joy, walking the dog, getting sleep, not being a dick…and who the hell knows what else.

Relationship-Based Creating
New lesson learned: I'm a relationship-based creator, but I've been trying to fit myself into the box of idea-based creating. This leads to destruction. living with anxiety can be a lot like balancing on a fence. anything can throw you out of balance. like sleep...or the lack of it. Body Kinks and Jogging Fears
I slept without a pillow last night. I know it sounds crazy but I had a theory about why I wake up most days feeling like someone had been hitting me with a baseball bat all night. It has to do with the memory foam pad on top on my mattress. The way I see it in my head is that my shoulders and back are sinking into the mattress enough to put my neck at a weird angle as it tries to reach the pillow. This angle plus the strain on my neck and shoulder muscles from trying to resist this stretch are what have me waking kinked and beaten. From what I can tell, it seems like laying on the bed without a pillow will allow my hips and shoulders to sink in while keeping my spine straight. Read my blog: itmattersbutitdoesnt.com

The Pit Falls of True Crime Research
Researching true crime—and cases of the unsolved and the missing in particular—requires a commitment to accuracy, yet much of the so-called research is filled with conflicting details, biased opinions, repeated factual errors, and pet theories. Without access to the official case files, researchers are forced to rely on these sources. These sources are often driven by the speed required to meet a deadline rather than accuracy and over time, case research becomes more a game of telephone than a serious inquiry. There have to be other, better ways. Read my blog: itmattersbutitdoesnt.com
