This is episode one of the mini-series, Carieal Doss, Forever 18. Carieal passed just weeks before her high school graduation with the rest of Parkway West's class of 2020. This episode tells the story of the tragic night she was killed, as well as the aftermath from her mother, Johnetta Doss' perspective. 

In this episode, we define African American Vernacular English [AAVE] and its historical roots, discuss our personal experiences with AAVE and explain the harmful phenomena of digital blackface.
