Jason is also the director of Coach Development for the Golden Ticket Basketball Club. This is a way to help develop the next generation of coaches. A lifelong learner, Jason completed his Master's in Sport & Performance Psychology from the University of Western States in 2021. This ushered in the next step in his coaching journey. With the start of football season that also means it is tailgate season! Jeff and Lason are joined by chef and TV personality Jay Ducote to discuss the basics of tailgating and cooking advice on the grill and smoker.
Jay Ducote is a chef, traveler, speaker, storyteller, culinary personality, and cultural gastronomist. Basically, he eats and drinks for a living.
He received his BA in economics and political science and MA in political science from LSU.
Jay is most widely known for finishing runner-up on Season 11 of the hit reality competition show Food Network Star in 2015. He also had a pilot for his own show, "Deep Fried America," air on the Travel Channel in 2016. In 2019 he won an episode of Beat Bobby Flay after challenging the Iron Chef to a crawfish boil. He has also appeared on Chopped, Cutthroat Kitchen, Masterchef, and many more television and web shows.
Jay has twice been invited to cook at the historic James Beard House in New York. He has been a featured chef on ESPN’s College GameDay two times, the pinnacle of learning how to cook throwing tailgate parties for LSU Football. He continues to cook for events large and small, near and far.
Throughout Jay’s career he has led ventures in blogging, radio, television, digital media, barbecue sauces and seasonings, wine, coffee, tacos, catering, pop-up dinners, and much more.
In the Fall of 2020, the LSU Press published Jay Ducote’s Louisiana Outdoor Cooking, a cookbook chronicling Jay’s time growing up hunting, fishing, tailgating, and his professional culinary journey to that point.

Mike is the Executive Director of Three Rangers Foundation. He brings over 40 years of executive planning, administration, communications, and program experience to the Foundation. Command Sergeant Major (CSM) Hall is a decorated combat veteran with over 34 years of service to the US Army, the 75th Ranger Regiment and Special Operations. His skillset was acquired over the gambit from the National Command Authority through the Private soldier on the ground, to include being the senior advisor to over a dozen General Officers and Chief Executive Officers.
“The Best Soldier I have ever known” is how General (Retired) Stanley McChrystal describes Mike. He served over 20 years with the 75th Ranger Regiment; he is the only soldier to have held the senior enlisted position at the Ranger Regiment, the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) and the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC). He retired from active duty in 2008 after 32 years of service. In 2009, he was recalled from retirement to serve as the CSM and Senior Enlisted Advisor for the International Security Assistance Force North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Afghanistan/United States Forces Afghanistan (ISAF). This force consisted of over 130,000 Soldiers from 46 countries, during the most dramatic change in strategy and troop increase in the history of the war.
After retirement from the Army, he took this experience and applied it to coaching and mentoring executives at a diverse collection of businesses, to include Lockheed Martin, The McChrystal Group, as an independent consultant, and as Chief of Staff, North American Sales, the Scotts Miracle-Gro Company. Mike contributed to significantly improving culture, communication, transparency, strategic planning, and operational effectiveness of each of these Corporations.

Scott Hershovitz is the Thomas G. and Mabel Long Professor of Law and Professor of Philosophy at the University of Michigan. He directs the University’s Law and Ethics Program. And he co-edits Legal Theory.Hershovitz writes about law and philosophy. His academic work has appeared in the Harvard Law Review, The Yale Law Journal, and Ethics, among other places. In addition, he writes occasional essays about philosophy for the New York Times.
Hershovitz has two books in progress. The first — Nasty, Brutish, and Short: Adventures in Philosophy with Kids — will be published by Penguin Press in 2022. The second — Law is a Moral Practice — will be published by Harvard University Press in 2023.
Before joining the Michigan faculty, Hershovitz served as a law clerk to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg of the United States Supreme Court and an attorney-advisor on the appellate staff of the Civil Division of the United States Department of Justice. Hershovitz earned a J.D. at the Yale Law School, a D.Phil. at the University of Oxford (where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar), and a M.A. and A.B. at the University of Georgia.
He lives in Ann Arbor with his wife, Julie; his kids, Rex and Hank; and his dog, Bailey. He loves baseball, barbecue, and tacos.

Larry is a long-time community and youth advocate with 20 plus years of experience working with urban youth. Commander Jack Riggins – USN (Seal) Retired
Commander Jack Riggins is a leadership and cultural dynamics expert, professional speaker, and consultant to high-performance business leaders across the United States.
Commander Jack Riggins is a veteran with 20 years leading Navy SEALs and Special Operations Forces worldwide. Jack is the co-founder of Performance Mountain a consultant firm and host of The Darkside of Elite podcast.
Jack participated in several conflicts and contingency operations throughout the globe in his 20-year Naval career. Assigned to SEAL Team ONE during September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks Jack participated in contingency operations as part of the United States initial response from October to December 2001. Later, assigned to SEAL Team THREE as a Troop Commander, Jack was the Commander of Naval Special Warfare Task Unit-Ramadi, Iraq in charge of counterterrorism and counterinsurgency operations in Al-Anbar Province.
Jack graduated from Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL School (BUD/S) in Class 222. Jack is also a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College and holds a Master’s Degree in Global/International Affairs and Interagency Collaboration from Kansas University.

Neal Woodson is a determined believer in putting people first in business. His vision is to change the way businesses think and operate so that workplaces and customer spaces are focused on helping people succeed in all areas of their lives. His simple, primary inspiration is helping people understand the primacy of service and how to make helping others the focus of their work. Through speaking and coaching, he is devoted to sharing ideas and helping people to lead and serve more effectively.
As a team builder and leader, he has a proven track record of leading customer- and employee-experience transformation. As a teacher and coach for over 15 years, he has been privileged to be part of driving higher employee engagement and increased customer happiness in a variety of workplaces including hotels, call centers, and sales offices. For seven years, he worked as Director of Service Excellence at a large, multi-billion-dollar event technology provider in the hospitality space. In this role, he led the company’s service excellence effort, analyzing customer feedback, creating plans for improvement, working with team members in implementing those plans, and coaching managers on how to lead it all. In addition, he trained and led a team of 65 coaches who worked as a network to help further the work and drive consistency.
With hard work and a great team, the results showed a consistent climb in NPS scores year over year for five years. Currently, he consults, teaches, and coaches service-focused thinking for several companies.

Outside of this work, he is a member of the Customer Experience Professionals Association where he is a founding member of the Baltimore Chesapeake CXPA Network. He has also been a workshop facilitator at the CXPA’s international Insight Exchange conference.
As an expert coach, he was twice invited to speak at the Medallia Experience conference on the topic of workplace coaching and building an enterprise-wide coaching network to drive service and customer experience improvement.
He has also authored a book, The Uncomplicated Coach, which was written for busy managers and leaders of organizations who are frustrated with low employee engagement. In the book, he lays out a simple method for becoming a better leader that focuses on including people in improving workplaces and customer spaces by asking questions rather than having all the right answers. Whether it’s collaborating to build a service culture, assisting in increasing revenue and reducing costs in human-centered ways, or developing strategies for improving overall customer and employee outcomes, Neal Woodson employs a down-to-earth, hands-on approach that seeks out the participation of multiple stakeholders in driving changes that benefit customers, employees, and entire organizations.
