God provides us solutions and opportunities to man's problems. Instead of isolating ourselves, moping in our closed bedrooms, let us open our eyes and look around to see God's favors and ways for us. Jesus tempted by Satan but ministered to by the angels reminds us again that the presence of good and evil in our lives and in the world is the reality we need to kearn to accept. Jesus's baptism reminds us of the truth about our own sacramental baptism. We received a mission and not just a mere observance of tradition nor obligation.

What can save the world? God did not send superheroes but He came to us as a human. We need not the power of the throne of King Herod but the humanity of the manger of Jesus. Our first parents sinned against God because of their frail humanity but it was also the humanity in Jesus that saved us. We value and are grateful of our humanity because by the grace of God it is also with our humanity that we are able to forgive, sacrifice, serve and love.
