Spin me spin me spin round
When I drop you can look
down
Falling over but looking up
I'm dropping again no one
pick me up
I can trip it all up all by
myself

test me, I'm so use to being
toyed with about my knowing,

ask your questions and find my answers;
be they pure genius or merely mundane...

I never claimed Einstein, nor any other
human, as the fuel for my brains' power,

it's simply live and learn or learning to try living
but never losing all my hope and sadly dying

Phaser Set to Stun

ok, Darling, does Mr. Bones, know you
well enough to prescribe prescriptions?

because the last time I checked he
was just a doctor Jim, far out there,

so when was that perfect aha moment whenever spacey theories held gravity

Pang of Denial

the blood spoke out loudly,
singing to those listening ears,

it grew from body warm to a cooler
shade of blue, but still remained red

nothing helped and it sunk into the earth
down below it took on the form of yellow...

there it was now, depressed, and clinging to the unsung;
those ancient skeletons of the fallen yesteryears, denied

The Edge of the Abyss (Gain)

even though, I have always suffered
the deepest grasp of dark depression

I never gave my pains over to drink
nor chemical inducing hallucinogen

instead, I choose, to face the red-eyed-demons of damp exhaustion, head-on,

dark dew drops coming
from the old owl's eyes,

as he'd seen the eons
of far and long behind

but nothing, no wisdom(s),
he's ever uttered outright

were even taken, as more,
than cuckoo bird looniness

although, soon, the sky will

loose limbs folded up

My Hollow Heart's Eyes

late at night, after all those bored people have gone to bed, that's when the beautiful star filled emptiness awakens, my hollow heart's eyes...

the signs and signals are there, comforting me,

alas, I tend to pay more attention to black cats,

midnight owls and nightingales, my affections

steering this heavy wheel through the caress

of backwood trees, their crooked gnarled limbs invite me deeper into some shadowy thicket

freely, veering away from hubbubing yesterday,

slumbering escapes me, as the salty silhouette of a lone wolf tells me of a hungry consumption

Love Hate Love

love, you twisting beast;
I thought we were related,

but you're such a slippery devil
with much too much cunning...

although, I surmise, we were forced
in our first meeting, with unkindness,

but I have a sneaking feeling, that in due time
we can become acquainted corretly - and it'll last

because though we've rammed our heads before, in the past, we're never really done
as there's no living without the slightest shimmer of hope - besides hate's far too haughty

Dramarama

have you ever noticed
that plenty of creatives

are always hindered or just
haunted by so many ghosts

and I’m not referring to Casper,
but instead, something sinister

and, most often, addictive things
feed their output, or, their offerings

truly, they can be fueled by too much drama,
or, an over abundance of sweetened caffeine

yet, it seems like their muses manifest them selves as demonic dope fiends, dramarama

covered in cold

Metallic Wings

the wind whistles outside
as this flying vessel glides

through the white clouds,
the flightless birds envy

our ability to do such
things, metallic wings

cutting free from the world
and playing with gravity...

three Amish girls duck
into my dark train car

to retrieve their baggage
they stowed away in light

I sit-watching-as they fumble
within the pitch for their things

I turn on my meager iPhone 6’s

then I ask if they like poetry, why yes,

I hand them my colorful card as I tell them
I’m a poet, their smiles ignite ever brightly

my heart melts into a silver puddle
whenever I look upon your beauty,

the souls rest peacefully, but beyond,

there’s a sour place that beckons us

everyone has choices to make in those woods

Clarity Sees

skipping passed those thick muddied mires
like some school aged children, home bound,

because their clothes had to stay clean,
meaning, no shenanigans are permitted...

nobody protest - too loudly - slowly ingest,
whatever fun shall they have to resist, digress

the murkiness can cloud, so very easily,
but clarity sees more than clairvoyance

feels like taking your heart and putting it upon a delicatessen tray, choose slivers

whatever remains once they leave, in time,

mincemeat appetizers out of your innards

awake, aware, as a drove of dark forces were being dragged away henceforward

nothing cumbersome could remain,
only helpful things grow and bloom

severing the throats of the lying demons
and their kindred spirits, freedom come...

they had been accumulating since words
