Ubisoft has announced Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Frontline, a spin on the battle royale genre that brings objective-based gameplay into a massive free-to-play PVP shooter. Capcom has announced that Resident Evil Village shipped 3 million copies globally in four days, smashing Resident Evil 7's 2.5 million units shipped in five days. The game is currently on-par with Resident Evil 2 Remake's impressive launch, automatically making RE8 one of the most successful launches in the franchise.

Court documents from the Epic v. Apple court case have revealed that Microsoft at one point considered lowering its 30 percent cut on the Xbox storefront to 12 percent, shaking up a longstanding precedent in the gaming industry of platform holders taking a 30 percent cut from all revenue. The document also suggests that the recent change to a 12 percent cut on Microsoft's PC storefront also considered including exclusive streaming rights for games included in the deal, giving Microsoft an upper hand in the cloud streaming space.
