Join me this week on the latest episode of Frontline Static, as I had the opportunity to interview Megan.

Megan is one of my clients who is currently a Nursing Student. She expresses that when we first met, her confidence had been rocked. Megan was also previously a collegiate volleyball player, who has always known what hard work looks like.

She had set the goal of working in the CVICU as a Student Nurse, and expresses how that goal seemed impossible at first. She talks of how she had doubts, prepped, kept hitting obstacles, and then got offered the position in her dream CVICU as a Student Nurse, just 10 minutes after the interview.

She talks of how life coaching has helped her grow into loving herself, has given her back her confidence, and how she is using what she has learned to now coach other healthcare workers in the realm of health and fitness.

She speaks of not making your road blocks mean that you can’t get there. She created space after clearing up her mind drama, to take care of herself, and is now helping other people on their health and fitness journey as well.

She has discovered the thoughts, “You can get anything you want. You can doubt yourself, AND still take small actions towards your goals.”

This week on Frontline Static, I am joined by one of my clients JJ. When we first met, she was doubtful of her ability and skills as a nurse to move forward and pursue her dreams as a Flight Nurse.

She talks about how she really worked hard on her thought that what she possessed was enough. She talks about going through the interview process and her thoughts that got her there.

Her advice for anyone considering it, is to work hard, trust yourself, and try not to doubt your ability. She now works as a full time Flight Nurse and is learning to navigate what it is like to be uncomfortable and grow into the position.

Phil has been a paramedic for the last 16 years and has been a Flight Medic for 11 of those years. He has worked on the rescue team, and also as a SWAT medic. He is one of my full time partners and talks about what it is like doing this job, and why it can offer so much to people who enjoy autonomy and constant learning and growth. He even touches on what it has been like to work with me over the last several years. This week I interviewed my friend and colleague Ramon Flores. He talks about how he has learned to make his ADHD work for him , and not against him. He speaks of his ability to work with pediatric patients and how he learned to overcome the scariness of it.

He has been a nurse for over 15 years and has been flying for the past 10 as a flight nurse. He has worked in the ER, ICU, OR, PICU, and PACU departments.

He speaks on learning to never give up and go after what you feel you are the weakest in, and tackle it head on.
