#207: Favorite Things with My Favorite Kassandra Rodriguez (OTT)
Today's episode brings back a lovely past guest, the one and only Kassandra Rodriguez! A lot has changed since Kass and the host's last episode almost two years ago, and we talk about where life has taken us since then. We talk about the growth of her business, how we have been doing, our favorites, and throw it back to a fun segment we went through on our first, low quality go round.  Nostalgia can be fun and awesome, and it was so much fun to reflect on these things with the modern hippie soul sister and owner of Original KASH Collections. Thank you, as always, for the love and support and for listening to Janine Between the Lines. Stay tuned for more episodes, and don't forget to share, like and subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts! Follow @k_r0ddd and @originalkashcollections on Instagram and TikTok,  and follow @janinebetweenthelines on instagram, and @JanineBTL on twitter for more fun updates and content!

#206: Our Thoughts on The Overturn of Roe vs. Wade, with Shelby Stavness
Today's episode is a long awaited one, and one the host has been eager to post. The host and her Maine soul mate Shelby Stavness, postpartum and women's health RN and aspiring educator, talk deeply about the underpinnings and raw thoughts of the overturning of Roe vs. Wade, and the attempt to ban abortions nationwide. As usual, all opinions are strictly our own, and we would love to have further, respectful discourse on the subject! All references we used will be linked down below, and we can't wait to hear your feedback on the episode. #203: Bridgerton and Books Bonanza
Today's episode is exactly as portrayed in the title: A JanineBTL reading roundup,  along with a debriefing on Season 2 of Bridgerton. Was it better than last season or not? Was it a flop or not?  Plan on episodes every other week as the host gets back into the swing of things... Janine Between the Swing of Things? Melikes.  Also, go check out MEMORY LANE MORNING SHOW here on Anchor and anywhere you listen to podcasts, if you want to hear a different side of the host, at large. #201: Memory Lane Morning Show, featuring Teddy Lemaster
A return to society? A spiritual awakening? Whatever you would like to coin it, the host is back and better than ever with another episode featuring her long awaited and deeply requested guest, boyfriend and stout beer aficionado, Teddy Lemaster. Join us for a fun discourse talking about the year 2021, goals for this year, and memories we have made along the way. Also, sorry not sorry to the outro for a spam call rudely interrupting our departure; however, if you can name my ringtone, we are automatically and irrevocably friends. We were in way too deep to rerecord! Like, follow, and share this podcast for more fun things coming this year, and as always, thank you to my listeners and supporters for being the best ever. We had so much fun recording this, and I can't wait to see what the future brings us! (Maybe a spinoff show...)

I Feel Attacked... featuring Franklin Alzate | episode 25 |
There's nothing more revealing and visceral than a book that brings out your biggest childhood insecurities while, simultaneously, motivating you to strive even harder to accomplish your goals. Today's episode talks about the first few chapters of A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara, and I take a few excerpts out of the book to discuss with one of my lifelong friends, Franklin Alzate. He is an aspiring physician, a proud Corgi owner, and a burger connoisseur. We talk about having parents who are immigrants, our upbringings, and some of those unpopular opinions mentioned in our latest Instagram questionnaire.  In honor of Asian American Pacific Islander Month, I will be reading this book throughout the month of May and will be doing a weekly "book study" as I progress towards the end! I would love for you guys to join me; if you wanted to pick up and read along, this episode covers up to page 101, or chapter 1 in Part II: The Postman. I would love to discuss and do another episode with me (who is reading along) next Sunday! Please like, subscribe, follow and share this podcast on twitter @JanineBTL and on Instagram @janinebetweenthelines, or shoot me an email for any questions at janinebetweenthelines@gmail.com. I love love love hearing from you guys, and of course, eternally appreciate your ongoing support. You all are the best, and I hope you're having a wonderful day. Happy listening 🌼

OTT #9: Honest Update, and Freaky First's with Abby Galang | episode 23 |
The host is a lucky gal to have a best friend that has stuck by her side for over 11 years... and now you guys get to meet her too. In today's episode, the host gives a life update and then has a rewarding "My First Time" questionnaire with her BFF, Abby Galang. Get to know the two more intimately, as they dive in to topics like their first CDs and mixtapes, first house parties, and even a light, wholesome take at our perspectives on AAPI hate crimes and our current social climate. In today's episode, the host reviews two books that have occupied her leisurely reading time these past few weeks, namely Lone Wolf and Cub by Kazuo Koike and Goseki Kojima and Kick It Under the Fridge by Ken Ciccoli. In an attempt to be more concise, the host has began a new version of episodes called Rapid Reviews! Rapid Reviews will mainly consists of mini book reviews condensed into a single episode while still talking about all the mundane ways these books have connections in the host's personal life.  Follow @JanineBTL on Twitter and @janinebetweenthelines on Instagram for updates and to stay in the loop of the coming season!

OTT #8: I Want to Stay This Inspired, featuring Kassandra-Ashley Rodriguez | episode 21 |
Today's comeback episode is a long awaited OTT (Off Topic Times) with one of the host's favorite people on this earth. The host and guest get into the new year tradition discussing 2021 goals, new transformations, and mediocre but entertainingly genuine relationship advice via the r/relationshipadvice thread on Reddit, in honor of the late Valentine's Day episode which wasn't posted due to technical difficulties. Credits and shouts outward to @approachablepod and Must Be Nice podcast for the inspiration for two of the segments in this episode.  Thank you guys forever for sticking around and being a support system from the beginning; I am adamant that this is a year of consistency and big events happening for my little beetles! Oddly enough, my reckless decision to think of this episode description when I should be sleeping and have to be awake in three hours bodes well for my dedication to reignite my poor, neglected podcast. Do not forget to follow @k_r0ddd on Twitter and Instagram, and follow @JanineBTL on Twitter for the most recent updates. Give this episode some loves and shares if you haven't already, and I will see you guys in the next one! *also trying this new season thing! I hope you guys like it!*

The Late COVID-19 Chronicles | episode 19 |
The host's background in nursing made her feel a little gratified to speak on this topic so... In today's episode, she strayed away from the books and invited a few of her friends and family to speak on the pandemic and their firsthand experiences as healthcare workers. This one has been a long time coming, and an OTT update is coming very soon! Small disclaimer: this episode has been a draft since around March, so some guidelines or facts mentioned could have changed up to this point.
