Breanna is the Owner of Breanna’s Business Boutique where she operates as an Online Business Manager helping high-achieving female entrepreneurs create balance in their business by implementing sustainability, scalability, and systems.
For Breanna, it all starts with sustainable solutions that create scalability. Coming from a corporate background, Beanna grew her business in a way that “truly” shifted her perspective. Starting, maintaining and scaling a business can be overwhelming and Breanna takes on the role of the wingman.
Many of the clients that come to Breanna want to advance their business but don’t know how to implement all of the ideas toward a solution. Breanna takes great pride in providing those solutions in a way that works with each individual client. While similar processes may be the same, everyone works very differently and Breanna takes on that role of directing her clients on how to solve those solutions with her right at the helm!
Solutions and Systems! It all starts with the systems we have in place and it boils down to simplicity. Part of the process is defining what your process system actually is. In most cases, it is the backdrop to your business goals and Breanna creates the methodology that works best for you and your business.
Personally, It took me a little over 3 years to figure out how to define the processes and systems that work for me. The process has to make sense. Patience will always win over perfectionism. Wanting to have the process ready and up and running didn’t stop me!
Many on-line entrepreneurs shift their perspective while working with Breanna and finally let go over their sense of control. They have stepped into their CEO shoes by letting go while Breanna takes care of behind the scenes.
We also chatted about how to block your time and our similar likes on different application platforms we each love to use - yes; there’s an app for that!
As Breanna stated, “Multi-tasking is the opposite of productivity.” I’ll choose productivity - how about you??!!

Making "Shift" Happen with Reality Shifter Takia Hansley - 03.21.23

Takia is a Reality Shifter and Master Life Coach who helps female service providers clear their limiting beliefs and mental gremlins to create quantum shifts in their life and business, 10X-ing their results quickly, by not DOING more, but by BEING more.
Quite often for instance, when an entrepreneur is trying to niche down, there is an overwhelming feeling and pressure to DO all the things that are needed to obtain that goal. Those goals take time and patience to implement and as a result, that someone tends to come up with excuses or looks for the limiting beliefs which substantiate those excuses.
Takia uses her experience as a life coach to help entrepreneurs get crystal clear on their vision and move past mental blocks that hold them back from achieving success despite the outcome of their previous efforts.
For example, if we say we have “no time”, what tasks or things are we doing that are taking away from our time of being productive? Track your time! As Takia stated, the key to progression is awareness. (Whether you use an app to track your time or pen to paper, it’s important to be totally honest with how you are spending your time!)
Although Takia’s focus is on mindset and personal growth, her experience as an entrepreneur and business coach allows her to highlight adjustments in strategy. To make a quantum shift, you have to use that frequency to make the shift happen!

TrulyYourVA with Janis welcomed back for her 3rd appearance on this Saturday, January 28, 2023, Sarah Ankney Regina. Sarah is a specialized Pinterest and Social Media Manager. She has been working in this field for over 3 years after discovering the benefits of utilizing Pinterest marketing her business. With her strategy, her clients have seen their businesses grow! Today’s podcast was a learning experience for me in reference to my own Pinterest account. We started with the opening page and how to maximize its benefits. Sarah explained that potential clients need to know how, when and where to reach me. (Ironically enough, I am in the process of changing that opening graphic and how did it not occur to me that I should have my contact info front and center!!)
We chatted about the Pinterest boards in great detail and how to complement them to our page’s advantage. For instance, when I “pin” the “New Podcast Episode” on the date it was recorded, I should follow it up a month later with perhaps a blog post, using a different pin, different description, different colors, etc.
Since I manage, market and host (3) podcasts simultaneously (of course (1) in which I co-host with my sister, Carroll-Sue on the TwoSistas Podcast), those should each have their own respective board which they do! Each board should have a “cover” to it (my boards do not; as of yet that is!)
Sarah reiterated that every pin and every idea pin should have a goal and a call-to-action. My call-to-action will be to revamp my Pinterest page! Sarah will be back in the next few months to check up on my progress - gotta go now and work on my Pinterest!

*Only having 5 - 10 boards! (Sarah is actually going through the process of redesigning her own Pinterest account and she currently has (5) boards.)
**No longer posting other people’s pins to your boards. (Pinterest previously requested that all users do this; now they do not.)
***Going “live” on Pinterest. (There is an application process before you can actually do this.)
****Hashtags are no longer required or used.
*****Keywords are highly suggested for each pin.

Truly Your VA with Janis welcomed to today’s podcast, Wednesday, September 14, 2022, Brook Seume and Rebekah Hasperson (Brook and Bekah). Brook and Bekah are both licensed therapists and owners of In This Moment Box.
Brook is a licensed marriage and family therapist and a graduate of Edgewood college. Bekah is a licensed clinical social worker and a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison. Both have specialized in working with high-risk individuals in a forensic setting, where they began to implement mindfulness into their practice and their own lives.
After seeing the benefits of mindfulness professionally and personally, both felt the need to be proactive in helping children learn these skills as early in their life as possible. With the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for mental health resources was more important than ever.
In This Moment Box is a subscription business that helps families implement their own mindfulness practice! Each box is designed and carefully crafted to promote connection within families and help them experience the benefits of staying in the present moment. Every month focuses on a different mindfulness theme and includes all of the items for the child to complete a craft, a household item for the parents, as well as prompts, resources and tips.
Brook and Bekah also shared their trials and tribulations with starting an on-line business and the adversity they faced. From hiring someone to handle their website to the challenges they faced; some of which, as many entrepreneurs experience, surprises (good, bad and indifferent.)
As such, they have learned to manage their own emotions and separate themselves from their business from time-to-time to allow and manage their own mindfulness. Brook and Bekah are that passionate about what they do and how they do it and it shows! They have many things in the works for their business and they don’t let the ‘naysayers’ create doubt in their minds! TrulyYourVA with Janis “broadcasted” on Wisdom today, September 9, 2022, sharing her Wisdom with a question: How do you deal with obstacles? Obstacles at times can be described as roadblocks - how do you get through them? Well, for everyone it is quite different.
Take for instance my guest who came up on the Wisdom stage, Keith Gittens-Jones (he has previously been my guest on the Wisdom stage). His biggest obstacle was cancer. He realized he had to make changes and more importantly he stopped being “fearful” which led him to a different mindset and do some amazing things in his life! We shared our different obstacles and how we both learned to move forward. (Keith’s story is pretty amazing!) We also chatted about ways to advertise our podcasts and different social media platforms such as TikTok and Pinterest.

Nail That Niche with Marlita Hill - 09.06.22
Truly Your VA with Janis welcomed to today’s podcast, Tuesday, September 6, 2022, Marlita Hill. Marlita is a multi-published author and 20+ year educator who creates, teaches, writes, mentors, podcasts, and speaks in and across the areas of faith, art, and entrepreneurship.
Focused on helping other entrepreneurs build a business transforming lives with their ideas, her primary goal is to help creators establish their work's identity (defining who they are as creators, what their work is, what it’s about, who it’s for, and where it fits) so that they have the clarity they need to make the best decisions in building, managing, and sharing their work their way.
Her journey to where she is today is really a story within itself. She fell in love with the dance ministry. It was a way for her to get to know herself on a more faith based path. She sensed at some point that she had to tune into her inner voice and decided to pursue her degree to which she equates to later in her life (late twenties). She absolutely fell in love with the “arts” which led her to teaching.
The road to entrepreneurship was a bumpy road but nonetheless, she pursued her dreams. In some respects, on this bumpy road she got to know herself while learning along the way. She realized she was and has always been an educator at heart and of course, she has certainly nailed that niche!!
The course she has taken may have not been one she planned, however when she looks back at her journey, she is grateful for all of the opportunities and lessons learned along the way.

TrulyYourVA with Janis welcomed to today’s podcast this Wednesday, August 31, 2022, Nichole Howson. Nichole is the owner of AIM Social Media Marketing. As an experienced, award-winning social media strategist and virtual assistant, her work is focused on supporting social media managers with their day to day operations - handling administrative tasks as well as content creation, scheduling and engagement.
Nichole embarked on her journey of entrepreneurship about 8 years ago. She freely advised that her mental health at that time was not that good and therefore she took the initiative to create a business where she could work from home. And create her business she certainly did and then some!
AIM Social Media Marketing really is the epitome of all of Nichole’s hard work. Make no mistake, she has made mistakes (as have I and yes; I made an error on her social media for the podcast!) It is her passion and tenacity that she wants to impact others! Her agency employs 11 people; (2) of which are interns. She has amazing systems in place and uses Trello and Slack so that she and her team can cohesively communicate with one another and their clients . As she put it, she “templatized” her systems. She also uses To Do Ist for all of her “tasks”.
Her clients have seen amazing results and Nichole and her team are a part of that! Both Nichole and I agree that it’s not about the number of followers you have on social media but rather the connection, engagement and collaboration. After all, social media is just that - to be social!

TrulyYourVA with Janis welcomed to today’s podcast this Monday, August 29, 2022, Ana Katz. Ana is a Facebook and Instagram ads strategist and coach. She has owned her digital marketing agency for over 3 years and has almost a decade of experience in the Digital Marketing world.
Once in the corporate world, she focused on business administration and marketing. She began to fall in love with the analytics of SEO and how those analytics were instrumental for businesses to impact and grow their on-line presence and revenue.
Ana is no stranger to entrepreneurship as her family are all entrepreneurs by their own right. Ana learned to overcome the fear of putting herself out there (with English being her second language.) This did not stop her and eventually led her to becoming her own boss and creating her digital marketing agency. Ana is an expert in her field and when she gave her notice, her bosses, although sad to see her leave, ended up giving Ana’s new digital agency their digital marketing account!
Ana is all about scaling and making a bigger impact and the results of the success of her business certainly confirm that! She works with online coaches, course creators, and e-commerce businesses that have an eye on the future and are ready to make that bigger impact.
Ana’s focus is on coaching her clients bigger results, major traffic, more sales, and customers who can’t stop talking about their brand. She absolutely loves what she does for a living but more importantly, is a Mama of two children and is able to be present for her children.
Ana loves that her business is pretty unique and she loves sharing to empower other women. While she is definitely the go-to person for Facebook and Instagram Ads and digital marketing, she also is an expert at email and funnel systems. One of the main things that Ana shared was not to just place a Facebook Ad but to really do the work of the ad behind the scene which encompasses what is the main goal / strategy behind your Ad. TrulyYourVA with Janis welcomed to today’s podcast this Thursday, August 25, 2022 (not October 25th - you just have to listen in), Ambila Nath. Ambila is known by her clients as ‘The Girl Next Door of Spirituality’. She is a serial entrepreneur, certified coach, spiritual teacher, international speaker and an avid follower of her passions. (This is her 2nd appearance on the “TYVA” podcast. Her first appearance was on June 23, 2022.)
Our conversation on this podcast centered around our daily habits (often referred to as ‘routines’) and how our daily lifestyle affects our mindset and vice versa.
Energy affects our mindset in some ways we did not anticipate. For instance, if you are just starting to implement positive changes in your daily life, look at your long term goal realistically and start backwards. For instance, if you want to drop a few pounds, start today with ‘I am going to supply my body with good nutrition today and start to drink more water.’
We typically buy into different ideas on how we think we should be and we start out with good intentions but we don’t pay attention to our body clocks and how that affects our energy. For instance, if we want to start to exercise, what time works out best for us? For many people, exercising in the morning is what they love to do and works best for them. That may not work for you.
While we always put things on the table, we should also be in a position to take them off the table when they no longer serve us. “Declutter your mind” may mean that you now say “No” to a person or events that trigger such an emotion or behavior. Also “No” is a complete sentence and does not need any type of explanation. (Give yourself the grace to acknowledge that “NO” is really okay to say and mean!)
Start to do the little things that add up to creating a routine; map it out if you must; plan for the goals you want to attain and know that life happens, we shift, we pivot and we do what we need to do!

TrulyYourVA with Janis welcomed to today’s podcast, Brenda Cadman Brenda Cadman is a verified global Canva Expert and owner of Bon Accord Creative, a WordPress development company based in PEI, Canada. (Brenda recently sold her website development company and is in the process on focusing her attention on crafting her Canva business even further!)
As an entrepreneur for more than 20 years, Brenda understands the importance of consistency in building a brand.
As a Canva expert, she’s taught thousands of small business owners how to use Canva more effectively and efficiently. In particular, she loves to help business owners tame their hot mess Canva accounts by creating an organizational system that ensures they can spend less time in Canva, and more time doing what they love.
Brenda shared amazing organization tips as well as how to navigate in Canva. She suggested trying out the specialized features within Canva such as the branding kit and elements. (Brenda’s authority on the subject of organization in Canva is second to NONE. She is a former “organizer” which has served her well with all of her businesses.)
Brenda is (1) of (26) Canva experts and if she doesn’t know the answer to a specific question, she can reach out to her team of experts.
As a Virtual Assistant and Podcast Host (of (3) podcasts), I love using Canva for creating my own templates for the podcasts as well as for my social media posts. I recently set up my Branding Kit and love it! I also started to use the Content Planner within Canva. It’s easy and very user friendly. I can also send the graphic as I am in it and post it directly to my various social media platforms with ease.
I thoroughly enjoyed my conversation with Brenda today! If I cannot figure something out that I am trying to do in Canva, I google what I’m looking for and her videos always pop up so for me having her on my podcast, wow - she’s my Canva hero!

The "SMOOZITIVE" Side of Mindset with Gal and Maayan - 08.08.22
TrulyYourVA with Janis was excited to welcome to today’s podcast, Gal Sela Szmelcman and Maayan Szmelcman Yerushalmy. Gal and Maayan are not only sisters but the founders of Smoozitive - a company devoted to supporting & guiding women living towards a positive life no matter where they are.
What does mindset have to do with it? For each sister, a lot!! They have helped countless women see the good in their lives, make small changes and feel better about themselves and their choices throughout the years.
Gal and Maayan did not hold anything back - their mission is to impact and succeed and they share their life experiences in such a way that reflects their journeys and thoughts of what they were going through all in the hopes of encouraging others to take actions in their own lives.
Mindset is not a given; it is something that each sister works on each and every day. Yes; Gal and Maayan are experts in positive mindset training and lifting people up. There is a higher impact purpose as everything they do is based on a blend of their own life experiences (each sister has relocated over 7 times, and lived in many more cities) (as well as their substantial Yoga and mindfulness skills (Maayan) and Master's degree in Positive Psychology & Coaching Psychology (Gal).
So when they say they know what those women are going through, they really do! They hold those beliefs close to their hearts and though life may strike them down from time to time, they focus on the good with the purest of intentions of supporting, empowering and guiding others!
I’d say that’s totally Smoozitive!

TrulyYourVa with Janis - Podcast w/Rebecca Heydon - 08.04.22
TrulyYourVA with Janis welcomed to today’s podcast, Rebecca Heydon. Rebecca is living with intention. She is a coach and the Owner / CEO of More Is Possible.
Rebecca went to college where she ended up with a double major in Business Management & Finance, and a Minor in Public Relations; all while working full time the last two years. In hindsight, she remembers her love of leadership but it wasn't an option. She stated that she was much better at math and she chose finance.
She was very successful and worked for a Fortune 500 company for 16 years from retail to finance executive. As Rebecca stated, she thought she was “on the path”; after all, this was what everyone had wanted. She enjoyed the job and then realized it wasn't providing what she had hoped for. (Rebecca is such a hard worker! While working full-time, she earned her MBA and CPA!)
As many people going through the pandemic experienced, Rebecca tried various things to see what else she might like to do. She was going through rough patches in her personal and business lives. She decided to hire a coach as she knew she wanted to explore an avenue outside of finance. She did the hard work and did it consistently. She knew she wanted to be a coach! She graduated from a coaches training program and is working on her certification. (Rebecca is an ontologically trained coach.)
Rebecca’s philosophy is certainly Living with Intention as More Is Possible! She has many things on the horizon such as group coaching, speaker events and retreats. As she puts it, she loves noodling around and started a book club about a year ago.
I’d say that noodling around has served her quite well!

TrulyYourVA with Janis welcomed to today’s podcast, Tracy Lane Beavers. Tracy loves sales and networking and she wants you to love it too! As a Business / Sales Coach, she enjoys helping small business owners scale to their next level with a clear roadmap for success.
Tracy has more than twenty years experience in sales and marketing. As the owner of three businesses, she understands the rollercoaster of entrepreneurship. She brings her authenticity and experience in her coaching by helping her clients build their business in a way that is authentic to them. There are logistics of networking, or as some refer to as collaborating. Networking was previously done in-person whereas nowadays, it is mostly conducted on-line. Tracy stresses to take the time to connect first and build that rapport and relationship and to always add value.
Tracy’s experience prior to becoming an entrepreneur has evolved over time. She was actually working full-time while building her businesses and then eventually left her corporate careers which spanned several industries: insurance, lending, real estate, and sales.
What always remained constant for her was the love of people and her passion to help them WIN. She has a unique and distinct ability to build these relationships with others and listen to her clients’ needs which has remained the bedrock of her success in sales. Tracy obviously enjoys helping small business owners and many of her referrals come from her own clients.
Tracy stressed that part of the relationship in maintaining communication with her clients is to have a CRM which is a way to keep you organized to follow up with your clients. She and her assistance also use Trello.
Tracy is also a public speaker, published author and has been featured on top business podcasts. She has also been a regular contributor on one of her hometown’s premier TV shows.
Tracy also offers two online courses: “Business Visibility Made Easy” and “Be A Confident Entrepreneur”. She has a group coaching program and offers private 1:1 coaching for clients wanting a VIP custom experience.
