Tales from the Bolterlands

Continuing the train wreck that is the Tales from the Bolterlands celebration of the upcoming release, PREY, on HULU, the bbboys return once again to the Basement of the Infidel.  The Good Brothers turn on the mic and share the Legend of Special Tony Stank in Predator 2. Still that sub quality low tech sound, but now with more trash and slightly improved time cues. Come and grab your free ticket to the Pain Train watch a long to Predator 2. In preparation of the newest Predator movie "Prey" releasing on HULU this week, the Good Brothers gather in the Basement of the Infidel with Good Sister Tanya, to remember the magic that is the original 1987 release of Predator. This is a low tech watch-a-long with less than stellar audio for the movie. We included our time cues if you want to press play with us and watch the movie with us.

The bbboys return to the Basement of the Infidel and recap The Bolter Club Dust Day "Space Ookitty" aka The Dark Side of the Ook. They also manage to cover a little DUST 1947 news in the recent offerings from AMMO DROP and all the pretty Premium kits now available. As fans and listeners already know, Tales from the Bolterlands tackles the tough issues and current events. Ever topical, the bbboys begin a 17 part discussion of the superiority of Cobra over G.I. Joe.

The episode covers the preview of the X-33 and 1/3 Experiment from DUST 1947 and proceeds to a deep dive into the untold true story of the 1990 American classic film, Predator 2.

The bbboys have returned to the Basement of the Infidel to lay down some of the sweet, sweet peaceful easy feeling the good brothers and sisters have come to know.  With the holidays fast approaching, the volume of work to be done has spiked. Little gaming is to be had at the tables, but the   bbboys have found their way to $5 dollar movie night at the local theater. Hear the Good Brothers rant a bit over some of the things they have seen on the big screen.

The Basement of the Infidel is empty this weekend.  The bbboys are unable to gather and lay down some sweet sweet freemium content for the good brothers and sisters. Instead, while we hit the road to handle a little bidness', we thought we would share some of the sultry sounds from our Tales from the Bolterlands road mixtape.  Like all greatest hit albums, we play the hits from previous episodes, and splash a little new for the friends and neighbors to try.

The bbboys from Tales from the Bolterlands have returned to the Basement of the Infidel to discuss the news report of the War being over. We were not happy to hear the news, but we are trying to take it all in stride and talk through it. We were happy being known as pretty ok in the online hobby network. Now, we add ambassador to our list of names.  Anyone seeking hobby asylum for DUST 1947 is welcome to join us here at Tales from the Bolterlands and our fan page The Bolter Club on facebook. The content will go on, and the fans will have something to play together.

The bbboys also spend time catching up on some digital adventures with their Paystation 4 and let off some Steam with their Steam accounts. Yup, we talk about the video games we have been catching up on and a little of what we are waiting for.

The boys talk about their first venture into a skirmish game by Modiphiüs, called FALLOUT Wasteland Warfare. A bunch of the bbboys in town are already playing and invited your hosts to come check it out.

The bbboys open the show with an update from the previous episode in the hopes to tell you what the Falke has gone down in the past two weeks.  They also manage to update their calling card with more mash up shenanigans and manage to make a run in on the monthly hobby challenge from DUST USA.  The Good Brothers will be talking up the entries this month in the chats, and again on the August episodes of Tales from the Bolterlands.  We are super stoked to hear the ideas from the faithful DUST fans!

The bbboys are very pleased to announce their next scheduled DUST DAY on 04SEP2021 in Madison WI.  They take a little time to go over a few important details and manage to make good on a promise from a few episodes ago and finish the first mail bag segment.  Pretty Ok late than never. It's an art...really. :)

Welcome back friends and neighbors to another episode of Tales from the Bolterlands. On this episode the bbboys discuss the one thing that binds them together, the eternal love for Devil Game.

The boys spend some time in the land of DUST 1947 and co-host Scott drops a new Hot Stonk on the peoples.  We have a little fun doing some additional fantasy booking new platoons around the mysterious and deadly IJN Shadow Hunters.

Following the disaster that was part one of the season finale, The Instigator Scott Waterford has taken it upon himself to set things right and rebrand Tales from the Bolterlands as Rockfit Radio...permanently.  

In this, the premiere episode of Rockfit Radio, Scott Waterford (with the assistance of some pretty okay dudes and one mostly pretty okay shark puppet) waxes poetic on what could quite possibly be the MVP model of 20XX. The Bifrost itself makes a musical appearance as it leads the way to the collected memories of two pretty okay guest brothers. Platoon talk returns with not one or three or four, but two new platoons for those of the core SSU and Axis persuasions.  

Like the Ouroboros, the Alpha and the Omega, the end and the beginning, this episode is not only the true 100% completion ending to season one of Tales from the Bolterlands, but also the slingshot beginning of season one of Rockfit Radio. Prepare to get FAQ'ed.

Welcome friends and neighbors to Part One of the Season Finale for Season One of Tales from the Bolterlands.  We had some grand plans to have some guests over for this episode, but we got hoodwinked, bamboozled even! Some technical difficulties sprung up and but a mighty KIIIIAAAA-bosh on our first attempts.  Recovery efforts and under way and we will be back dishing out some good brothering asap in out upcoming Part two Season Ender episode.

In this episode, the Good Brothers share the latest on Hobby efforts for DUST 1947. We take a little time to share how we initially envisioned the direction of podcast would be, and we have a little bit of story time BAY-BAY with the Bolter Club as we speculate where the narrative story for DUST 1947 could go. As always, be on high alert for inbound shenanigans during and after the episode.  We are approaching the end of the season, so anything could happen.

Welcome friends and neighbors to another episode of Tales from the Bolterlands.  In this episode the bbboys actually do some hobby, for once. They also discuss the flip side of previous episode topic, "Tengu Taxes" and cover the ins and outs of "Pingu Tax Evasion". The Good Brothers cap the episode by sharing their take of recent game topics on the DUST 1947 social media channels.

In this Episode, the Good Brothers Jarred and Scott Waterford begin the tale of Platoons in DUST 1947. The bbboys go over the concept of using platoons and how they can very in style and function in the game. They also pretend to hold the pencil at DUST HQ and fantasy book how it could be.  A little Eraser here, a little write in there...

Per the usual, the bbboys get a little carried away in their good time, and some shenanigans are bound to be heard. We will conclude our Platoon talk on Episode 11, Buckets UP!

Welcome back to another episode of Tales from The Bolterlands. Episode 9 finds Good Brother Jarred reconnecting with the Lord Regent of Recycle, the Master of the Splinter Cell, his long time buddy, Norm.  Here the tale of how these guys got it going hobby style and the road travelled that led Norm to the decision to start the #hobbystreak. Now, over 1020 days of consecutive hobby time spent on building, painting, and gaming table top minis.
