Zombie Frogs, Glowing Salamanders & Coyote Attacks
In this episode, we talk about the newly discovered frog making the rounds in the press. Yet, I add the nuance about how naming animals while white and masc can be problematic. I introduce the bioflouresence of amphibians before jumping right back into the coyote conflict still unfolding here in Vancouver's Stanley Park. Show notes over at patreon.com/jauntingjay
Can Animals Be Drag Performers?
This episode is about the wonderful world of drag, through queer wildlife. How animals can play with gender to find success. I also unpack a scientific paper about Cuttlefish mating patterns and color changing skills before delving into the drama that is Vancouver's Stanley park coyote witch hunt. Show notes and extra content available at patreon.com/jauntingjay. Catch y'all laterz.

Season Finale - The Hermit
The hermit in tarot represents self-isolation. This card speaks to the power of rest and individual reflection. After an isolating couple of weeks, I have been able to reflect on HOW I want this podcast to be perceived and WHO this podcast/this space is for. After 12 episodes, I am excited to end this first chapter and start a new one with a greater focus on building community through this podcast. See y'all in Season 2!

BLACKITY BLACK BLACK
You have to go out of your way to continue learning about black history (*every month for the rest of your life). Be sure to listen to my more conversational podcast this week with fellow Black Creative @zipporahthevegan over on @Goatsandoatspodcast. It was great to introduce Christopher Schell during experiment 626 this week. It was even more fun to inject some of my research and document my contributions to black history in the making. I want this podcast to serve as both a time capsule and a practice in commitment so I am VERY pleased with how this one turned out. Thank y'all for listening! Be sure to send in your reviews, comments, or animal stories to jaunting.jay@gmail.com I promise next week, no more sloths! Thank you for listening! Art by Andie aka @FUNKLE420

Rodents of Unusual Size (ROUSs)
This week I connect a little more with my Jamaican heritage/ culture. It was a lot of fun for me to be able to research animals I have a bit more of a connection with. It was also so inspiring to come across a fellow Canadian-Jamaican ecologist! Such a fun episode for me but, I really went off in the extra content on Patreon. As always, like and review the podcast, and be sure to send in your stories to jaunting.jay@gmail.com.
Until next week
Its Black History Month
This episode I talk about phenomenal black femmes, Nigerian animals you may have never heard of, and the problems with developing wildlife conservation strategies WITHOUT first consulting black indigenous communities. It is black history month so the next couple of episodes will be focusing on wildlife through the lens of black history and culture.
Queer Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride
In this episode, I push the LGBTQ agenda because I want to make clear that being queer is very natural, and observable in other species. I introduce the concept of an abstract, talk about finding nemo, non-binary birds, and worms that fight with their di*ks. Cover art by Andie aka @Funkle420
Have you tasted beaver butt juice?
In this week's episode, we talk about beavers and how they are used to create artificial flavoring., I unpack the secrets of monkeys using mind-control to move machines and we wrap it up with the first gorillas to contract covid. As always, extra content will be unpacked on my Patreon (patreon.com/jauntingjay). Cover art by Andie aka Funkle420.
Dolphin Disaster
The Fool
In this episode, I introduce the podcast, myself, and all the things you can expect from Zoboomafoolish. I spend time explaining the meaning behind each of my reasons for setting up the show the way I have. This podcast is inspired by but not affiliated with the original Zoboomafoo PBS program.
