Jay & Joey: On the Record

This week Jay and Joey are jetting over to jolly old England to discuss albums that were recorded in London, and it's Jay's birthday! The guys are discussing baking at higher altitudes, eating raw cookie dough, the treasures of Canada, their favorite Beatles album, Mick Jagger showing up in someone's studio to sing, stolen Wings demos, metal legend Christopher Lee, Role Models, Jay's old man's musical tastes, historical music scenes, and history in general!

Joey gets the full, immersive experience Jay has had for almost year, and he learns empathy for what Jay goes through on a weekly basis. This week's episode features two very different tales of learning about Tom Rush, buying the same album twice, a desire to see a docuseries on studio bands, a song for grandpas, oboe love, and the vinyl fairy gifting both Jay and Joey the same album.

And there are lots of voice instruments from Jay, a ton of sidetracked banter, and the fellas are definitely not throwing their shoes in.

Spurred by a conversation from the previous episode, the fellas are talking about second albums on the latest episode. Also, Jay considers being a spiritual advisor to bands, and the fellas attempt math.

On this week's episode, we find out Jay bought an album this year, being tempted by colored vinyl, the porno shop that doubles as a record store makes a return, the fellas see a real salty album cover, Jay talks about the first dance at his wedding, and they listen to a behemoth of an album that Sneaky Pete finds his way onto. Then they get into Jay's retirement plan and discuss a question that inspires a future episode idea.
