Kyle Woods: Stunt Coordinator For "A Quiet Place 2" & "Bad Boys 3" Takes Us Behind The Scenes

Kyle Woods is a Stunt Coordinator, former Street Bike Freestyle Rider and half of 5150 Action Inc. He is responsible for the coordination, choreography, casting, and safety of the stunt actors and stunts you see in films and tv shows.  Throughout our conversation we touched on so many different topics like how he got his start in the business, his favorite projects, the pay for stunt actors and what makes a project difficult. He even gave us some insight of what it was like working on "Bad Boys 3" and what Will and Martins chemistry was like on set. This episode was a fun one to record because we filmed it on the set of "A Quite Place 2"  almost two years ago back in 2019. I wanted to wait to put this this episode out until the film was released but of course due to Covid the film got pushed back over a year. So here it is... finally.

Byron Brown II- Walking in Your Truth as a Creative

Byron Brown II- Walking in Your Truth as a Creative

This episode is very different from all of the other episodes I've recored.

In this episode I discussed less about his responsibilities working in the electrical department in the TV/ Film  industry and more about who he is as a person and what its like working as a creative in Buffalo.

The first half of the episode  we discuss what he does on film sets, how he got his start and what the electrical department is responsible for.

The second half on the interview we really opened up about his truth being a creative, what's is like being the son of the Mayor of Buffalo and mental health.

We even had the Mayor and our special guest Mitch Arizona chime in during the interview.

As always I hope you guys enjoy this episode for its honesty and transparency. Please SHARE SHARE SHARE with friends and family  and don't forget to Subscribe, Rate and Write a Review!

Gabe Chavez: Filmmaker and Best Boy Grip

Gabe Chavez: Filmmaker and Best Boy Grip

This is the Season Finale of Season 1! I didn't know that this episode with Gabe Chavez would be the finale but as I started releasing the episodes it never felt like the right time to put this one out. Eventually it clicked and I knew that this would be the season finale. During my conversation with Gabe we didn't just talk about his role and responsibilities and pay of being a Best Boy Grip, this conversation was so much more than that. We talked about film making and how its changed his life, and all of his own projects that he directed. He was open and honest about his family and how the film industry has impacted his life. This one is long but its so worth it and I know you guys are going to enjoy this one and definitely take a lot from it. Thank you for rocking with me during Season 1. Michael Thompson: Aspiring Director of Photography

Michael Thompson: Aspiring Director of Photography

I met Mike on the set of a music video I directed in October of 2017 and then after that I started seeing him around the city on different film sets. Mike is putting in his days to join the union but he is also constantly creating content whether its on commercial shoots, music videos,or friends projects, he's always trying to get better. It was really cool getting to talk to Mike because he is like a lot of us where we are in the middle of trying to figure it out. We don't have all the answers right now. We are just making it happen along the way. One of the things to take away from this episode is that you should constantly be creating your own stuff. Its the only way to get better at your craft and you get the opportunity to try different things you might not be able to do on a bigger project.

Melanie Morse: Locations Manager, Owner of Honey & Punch Production Company

Melanie Morse: Locations Manager, Owner of Honey & Punch Production Company

I first met Melanie on my first film "The True Adventures of Wolfboy" so this was great getting a chance to sit down and talk to her about her journey in this industry.

She was so honest about how the industry can be so tough and how she came in and out for years. We learned how she started her production company with her partner, how she became a locations manager, and how she balances the two.

Two things to take away from this interview is to try it all, how else will you know what you like and what you don't like.

The other thing is don't be afraid to say yes when a opportunity is presented to just because you've never done it before.
