WHAT IS AN END-OF-LIFE DOULA? How to Help your loved one at the end of Life End-of-life. Doulas provide companionship, comfort, and guidance to those facing a terminal illness or death. Our non-medical holistic support encompasses emotional, spiritual, and practical care. We offer resources to help the dying person and their family and loved ones make informed decisions in a supportive environment. A doula can become involved at any time in a person’s life. We offer support when people are impacted by a life-changing illness, after a terminal diagnosis, when death is imminent, or even after death—to help with light grief support. Sometimes, family members or loved ones of the person dying seek support and guidance from end-of-life doulas. Doulas normalize deathcare by creating spaces to hold conversations, leading to increased communication and spiritual and emotional well-being. When individuals plan for death, they have autonomy over their decisions and can clearly define their end-of-life wishes with family and loved ones. While there are alternative names for end-of-life doulas like death doula, death midwife, death coach, and end-of-life coach—we all seek to provide compassionate deathcare.

What is Jewish Mysticism and Kabbalah (also spelled Kabalah, Cabala, Qabala)—sometimes translated as "mysticism”. The Kabbalah is part of Jewish tradition that deals with the essence of God. Whether it entails a sacred text, an experience, or the way things work, Kabbalists believe that God moves in mysterious ways. However, Kabbalists also believe that true knowledge and understanding of that inner, mysterious process is obtainable, and through that knowledge, the most incredible intimacy with God can be attained. The 4 ‘Clairs’ Of Intuition 

Clairaudience Clairaudient messages sound like someone talking to you in your mind. This ‘voice’ of intuition will usually be straightforward. It says things like ‘not now’ or ‘yes, this is the right way’. Importantly, clairaudience comes across in short messages which are sometimes even one word.     

Clairvoyance  The term “clairvoyant” is often interchanged with the word psychic. Clairvoyant messages arrive as an image or scene in your mind. When this happens to me, sometimes I will see something I can describe to a client, but other times it can be more metaphoric. When I see a cake, for instance, I know Spirit is acknowledging a birthday.     

Clairsentience  Clairsentient messages are the most common of the four Clairs and come as a feeling. This is why so many people identify with being empathic. Gut feelings, being able to experience others’ emotions, or sensing the collective energy of a room all fall under this umbrella.   

Claircognizance This is the ability to ‘just know’ without understanding how or why we know. I describe this as our brains receiving an immediate download from our higher self or Spirit Team. We receive information much like computer downloads, only much faster!

The Moon represents your fears and illusions and often comes out when you are projecting fear into your present and your future, based on your past experiences. You may have a painful memory that caused emotional distress, and rather than dealing with the emotions, you pushed them down deep into your subconscious. Now, these emotions are making a reappearance, and you may find yourself under their influence on a conscious or subconscious level. For example, if you had a car accident when you were young but didn’t deal with the emotions, you may get sad or anxious every time you get into the backseat of a car. To remedy this, connect with your subconscious mind and release any fears or anxieties holding you back. Hypnosis, therapy, and shamanic healing can support this process.

The Moon can indicate a time of uncertainty and illusion when nothing is what it seems. Be careful of making fast decisions when The Moon appears because you may later realize you only had half the information you needed. You need to listen to and trust your intuition so you can see beyond what is in front of you. Feel into situations rather than think about what they mean. Let go of your conscious mental blocks or negative self-talk and allow your intuition to guide you. 

Your dreams, intuitions, and inner guidance lead you forward toward higher levels of understanding if you listen and use your judgment to help interpret the messages of the subconscious.

This first step can be the hardest one, but it’s also absolutely necessary. You can’t overcome a fear that remains hidden in the dusty regions of your subconscious. You must face it. When you turn your face toward a person, you see that person and learn what he looks like and how he is acting. When you turn toward your fear (rather than away from it), you notice things about your fear that you didn’t know before. This awareness helps you overcome it. What exactly is the Great Ascension and what needs to happen first is such an important topic and question to be asking ourselves right now in the world.  Over the last few weeks/months, we’ve been dealing with massive changes on an energetic level – a combination of planetary changes, our awakening, and an upgrade of our vibration level. Remember, we are all energy and as we evolve and become better people, we start vibrating at higher levels. A somatic movement, generally speaking, is one that is performed consciously with the intention of focusing on the internal experience of the movement rather than the external appearance or result of the movement. In order to be most effective, a somatic movement should be performed as slowly as possible. The human nervous system, which controls our posture and movement, must learn new things very slowly. With practice, we are able to gradually speed up and perform movements more quickly while still maintaining form and control. When we do movements quickly, we are not learning anything new—we are simply reinforcing existing learned patterns.  A somatic movement must also be performed consciously, with our complete internal focus and attention. Conscious attention is key to the learning process; we can’t learn something new if we aren’t aware of what we’re doing.

In 2013, after the death of my father and a sudden end to a 15-year marriage, I was presented with several gifts to heal past wounds from my challenging & traumatic childhood. Through inner work of self-exploration and self-love, I stepped on the path of bringing these stories into the light. What is Compassion to you? Most people try to be compassionate but fall short. What gets in our way and do we really know how to fully show up for someone in NEED? The “shadow” is a concept first coined by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung that describes those aspects of the personality that we choose to reject and repress. For one reason or another, we all have parts of ourselves that we don’t like—or that we think society won’t like—so we push those parts down into our unconscious psyches. It is this collection of repressed aspects of our identity that Jung referred to as our shadow self. In this video interview, we explore the first steps in Shadow Work and help you uncover how your TRIGGERS are the first clue to helping you identify your own personal shadows.
