Elisha, Part 3: Seven Sneezes
Sometimes miracles come instantaneously and and sometimes they come as part of a process. You might be in the midst of what looks a tragedy or a huge loss. Don't lose hope and guard your words because you might be experiencing a miracle in process.
Elisha, Part 2: Faith Works
God alone sends the water, but sometimes He wants us to dig some ditches and make a place for our miracle.
Elisha, A Tale of Ridiculous Faith, Part 1
In this message we learn, we must have a heart to follow God's plan without having all the details. Also that God uses the most those who hold on to the least.
Living in the Secret Place, Part 2
This is the final installment of the Psalm 91 series. Trust is the theme of this psalm which tells is the benefits of living a life in close proximity to the Most High!
Living in the Secret Place, Part 1
Psalm 91:1-16 NKJV
1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”
3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”
HARD or SOFT TARGET
Criminals are always looking for a person who is distracted, not aware of their surroundings, and who appears vulnerable. That kind of person is considered a soft target. On the other hand, a person with their head up, situationally aware, looking confident make a hard target. That is someone whom criminals would rather avoid. The devil is the same way... he goes around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour... a soft target. This message gives some practical instruction on how we can be a hard target for the devil and his forces.
DISCIPLE, Part 5: The Disciple's Treasure
Everyone has a treasure, and the location of that treasure matters greatly to God. It matters because your heart will always be close by. The main point is that God's not wanting to take your treasure. Rather He wants to be your treasure.
Disciple, Part 4: The Disciple's Chair
We spent most of the message talking about how we get into the Disciple's Chair... It is grace and grace is not a topic. Grace is a Person and His name is Jesus! During the message I showed a video of Dick & Rick Hoyt and amazing father-son team who have entered into over 250 triathlons. Rick suffered severe brain damage during his birth which left him unable to walk and talk. He was able to communicate through a special computer. After a serious car accident of a classmate, Rick wanted to participate in a 5K run to raise support for the injured friend. What has resulted is a vivid picture of God's grace. Disciple, Part 3: Tom Hardin Testimony
Our own Tom Hardin shares his powerful testimony. Tom is a former police detective and fire chief. He’s an entrepreneur and historian who is passionate about Jesus and making Him known! His story has been featured on the 700 Club and he shares with us how God’s power has impacted his faith journey as a disciple of Jesus.
DISCIPLE, Part 2: The Cost of Being a Disciple
This Sunday at WFA we continue our "Disciple" message series. Jesus often spoke about the cost of following Him. We could never begin to pay for our salvation. It is a gift of His unfathomable grace. But what some don't realize is if we choose to follow Him, it will cost our entire life. That sounds mighty expensive until you see the new life He provides!
