My Life As A Skipped Creative!

My Life As A Skipped Creative!

Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived.

Today’s Topic: Awaken your sleeping creativity!

It’s not just artists that have the creative skills. You have it in you girl, you’re not just making any move to let it show. Don’t fight it! Whoever you are – may you be an entrepreneur, an engineer, or a stay-at-home mom, you are a being of your own creativity.

In this episode, we talk about ways on how you can show your creativity. This can help you in developing yourself, strengthening your relationships, growing your business, and further adventuring the girl life! Make sure to listen in as I also share how I, as an entrepreneur and a mom among other responsibilities, still manage to be creative.

We choose what clothing to wear in the morning. We decide on what song we put in our playlists. We create recipes. I can go on and on with the list, but my point is… Once we start thinking out of the box, we’re already creating. Each of us can be creative in our own ways. And, there is no way that you’ll let them say you’re not!

6 Ways To Promote Your Problems!

Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived.

Today’s Topic: 6 Ways to Promote Problems!

Welcome back, girls! We’re already on the third week of January so I just want to check first if how are you going with your New Year’s Resolutions? I’ve recently posted on my Instagram my Word of the Year, which is ‘passion’, that I hope it will help me do very well this year in all the parts of my life – from the smallest to the grandest. So, please, make sure to update me what’s yours, and let’s help each other!

Now, time to take a bite of the main course I am serving you today! Our topic in this episode is problem-solving and character building. An encounter with my child led me to have to discuss this with you. But, before diving deep into this, let’s admit to ourselves first that we ALL make mistakes, and that’s okay. We make mistakes and we fail just like me and just like my child. It’s just up to us on how we set our mindset and how we approach these things. Discover today how you can turn things around. Proof That Women Wear Hats Best!

Proof That Women Wear Hats Best!

Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived.

Today’s Topic: Who owns and wear more hats? Is it men or women?

If you’re a big fan of Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, then you may have noticed the fabulous headwear pieces that the characters are wearing – especially Midge’s. It’s always effortlessly stunning! I’m amazed at how women, compared to men, can choose and wear the hats like they are part of their bodies, their personality, and their aura.

We, girls, choose hats according to our needs, our mood, and our personality. And just like the monikers that are being titled to us – from being a mother to being an entrepreneur to being a coach – they change according to the responsibilities we need to give. And, the most fantastic thing is we can wear as many hats as we can. We, girls, can do multi-tasking and still be very good at our jobs.

So, the verdict: Women are the wearer of all the hats.

Don’t even try to prove me wrong! Though this is a great win, it can be exhausting. We always feel the need to do stuff for the others anytime and anywhere. Just remember that we need a break!

How To Rule Your Year End Review!

How To Rule Your Year End Review!

Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived.

Today’s Topic: Merry Christmas!

I hope you’re celebrating the most important day with your loved ones! Let’s all be appreciative on Lord Jesus Christ’s birthday and surround ourselves with love, compassion, and joy.

For today’s episode, let’s focus on what you’ve accomplished and what you want to improve more for the next year. Start getting your pen and paper and find a perfect thinking spot so we can start doing a year-end review! This is no different to the yearly assessments we do in our office. We’ll try to recall everything that happened in our lives since January – you can try grabbing a calendar or your planner to make it easier for you if you have to.  Listen to the list of key questions that I enumerate so you can start to ponder. It’s pretty easy but takes a lot of concentration.

Are you done populating your paper with those great milestones? Were you amazed at how many achievements you list down? That’s great! Now, don’t you worry about those shortcomings. Let’s just aim to grow and change for the better for the next year! Just always go back and review this list, so you’ll know how you’re progressing.

Another thing that you should not forget for next year is our New Year Challenge – The First Six! It will start on the 1st of January so make sure you’re already subscribed for my updates. Thanks, girls and happy holidays!

Why You Need One Word For Your Year

Why You Need One Word For Your Year

Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived.

Today’s Topic: Find one word that you should live for the year 2019.

Yes, one word – one word that could be the basis to focus on doing your ultimate goals. Finding your word that you want to define your whole year is like creating your mantra. A mantra is something that is repeated so you can concentrate or focus on a regular basis.

Now, let’s move on to choosing the ultimate word that will keep you on track and at the same time make your whole year enjoyable. Listen in as I walk you through – these are just simple steps to follow and, finally, to be in total control of 2019. Girls, you don’t have to be strict in following your word of the year. It doesn’t have to be perfect; make it fun. It is just something that will guide you depending on the situation.

So, girls, I am highly encouraging you to do this based on my experience. I had one this year – my word for 2018 is ‘improvement – and it was an absolute constant that reminds me in everything I do. I got to launch the Adventuring the Girl Life podcast, for one, and now we’re on our 26th episode! Girls, I’m so proud of you. We all deserve this!

And, let me remind you not to forget to join our New Year Challenge called FIRST SIX if you haven’t yet! Enjoy your holidays!

You Must Plan For The New Year, NOW!

You Must Plan For The New Year, NOW!

Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived.

Today’s Topic: Let’s welcome 2019 in an unconventional way!

What I mean is planning ahead almost 3 weeks earlier than 2019’s first day. Is this too early for you girl? Well, the best time to planning and prepping was yesterday and the second best is today, so might as well start! And honestly, we don’t want to be welcoming the first week of new year unplanned and unorganized. That will definitely be a catastrophic start. Yikes!

So, in today’s episode of the Adventuring Girl Life Podcast, I’ll walk you through your planning phase, so you acquire good habits and reach your goals for the next year. It’s time to figure out what your short-term and long-term goals are, why you need them in your life, and how will you reach them.

Of course, your goals won’t just cross your mind in one snap of your fingers, so we have to think really hard about this. It could be something that makes you or others feel better. It could be your relationships, your business, or within yourself. After this crucial part, it’s now easy to follow the next steps. Don’t worry, the strategies I’m going to mention are easy to follow so start tuning in!

And, before I forget, make sure you’ve already signed up for our First Six program. In just 6 weeks, you’ll be able to gain a routine and healthy habits that work for you for the rest of the year and so!

Loneliness And Health (continued)

Loneliness And Health (continued)

Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived.

Today’s Topic: Loneliness is not a state of mind.

Welcome back, girls! If in the previous episode of the Adventuring The Girl Life Podcast, we talk about the loneliness and the lack of a support system, today, we concentrate on the health side of loneliness.

According to David Cordani, CEO of Cigna, "we're seeing a lack of human connection which ultimately leads to lack of vitality or a disconnect between mind and body."

So, you see, our health is negatively affected when we choose lousy lifestyle choices and distance ourselves from people. We need regular communication with our loved ones! When we don’t have healthy human interactions, it manifests in our body. Our immune system responds physically through, for example, cold sores or hives.

To have excellent overall health, create a balance in all categories – I’m talking about our mind, body, and spirit. Each is equally important. No more, no less.

It’s time to open up yourself to your support system. You can join our online community of like-minded women where we share tips, compassion, and inspiration! There’s no reason to be lonely, especially these holidays!

Also, make sure to join our New Year challenge, First Six, where we break the bad habits in the first 6 weeks of the year. Are you excited? I am also, so make sure to keep in touch and update me!

The Ugly Truth About Loneliness!

The Ugly Truth About Loneliness!

Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived.

Today’s Topic: Do you ever wonder why there are sad Christmas songs?

It’s normal to feel lonely during the holidays. Most are thinking if they’ve been good or bad for the entire year and are worried about what’s next for them in the new year coming. So, for you, how’s it been?

According to a survey conducted by Cigna of more than 20,000 U.S. adults, half of them feel lonely, 1 in 4 thinks that people don’t really understand them, 1 in 5 feel distant to people, and 2 in 5 feel relationships are not meaningful.

It’s really unbelievable how many people are feeling loneliness. That is why in today’s episode, I want to emphasize the importance of having a support system. A support system can check up on you, help you in arriving at sound decisions, and give you company.

Honestly, it’s entirely selfish of you to not share the fun with someone and to always plan stuff on your own! GIRL, you have to start interacting in person. Lay down your phone and stop scrolling on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Instead of posting your stories online, why don’t you just go to your loved ones or a newfound friend to talk about them personally? At least you’ll hear them laugh and actually see them laugh about it, right?

Join us for FIRST SIX on January 1st.

Healthy Holiday How To's

Healthy Holiday How To's

Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived.

Today’s Topic: Celebrating HEALTHY holidays is a MUST.

First of all, girls, I would like to wish you a happy Thanksgiving! So, what foods are you planning to prepare? How many buffet parties are you going to? Well, for sure, it would be a lot!

Okay now, let’s get to the point… Feasting during holidays can be traditional and be healthy at the same time. Can you believe? So, I prepared 7 Holidays How-to’s that you could SHOULD follow to stay healthy & fit but still enjoy holidays. Make sure to tune in because these are easy-to-follow tips. Trust me, you don’t want to be sulking on the weight you might gain after the Thanksgiving or Christmas.

So, I’m not saying to fill your Thanksgiving table with bland and boring food. There are so many ways you could still maintain your diet such as keeping away from alcohol, taking the focus off the food, de-stressing, bringing a healthy dish to a party, and many more! I discuss more about these, so take mental notes!

And to make all of these 7 Holidays How-To’s effective, let’s do a DIET BET during the holidays. So, are you in? The only rule: after the 4-week holidays, you have to lose 4% of your body weight. Sounds doable girls, right?

http://dbet.me/pRj15w

I’m so excited to hear about your experiences about the diet bet. If you haven’t joined the tribe yet, make sure to sign up and get email updates from me. Let’s help each other stay healthy and fit through the holidays!

"Uncomfortable And Loving It", Said No One Ever!

"Uncomfortable And Loving It", Said No One Ever!

Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived.

Today’s Topic: Get comfortable with being uncomfortable!

Welcome back, girls! Today, we discuss why staying in your comfort zone is bad for you. Did that advice make you irritable somehow? Well, people like being comfortable, being safe, and living in patterns. And when they’re asked to do stuff that would completely change the way of things, they refuse to do so.

Don’t say NO! Just step out of your comfort zone and do what needs to be done even though it scares you. For example, I went on a business trip alone without my husband which honestly, I have been very dependent on before. It scares the hell out of me flying solo but the thing that brings me a heavy heart every time is leaving my kids alone. It worries me but I just got to trust my husband and pray.

Have faith in adventuring the girl life! You are not even aware of how much opportunities you’re missing out on because you’re okay with being stagnated with the life you’re living now. Be motivated. Aim for growth. Discover new things. Make mistakes. Do great in the end.

Crowns and Flops: taking my first solo trip!

I'm At The Gym! Now What?

I'm At The Gym! Now What?

Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived.

Today’s Topic: Do you have a plan or a schedule before you hit the gym?

In this episode, we discuss how important it is to figure out what fitness plan and schedule work for you. You may be a newbie or a gym rat, it doesn’t really matter. Having a plan that works for what you want to achieve is essential and should be reviewed every now and then. Discover what types of training should you be choosing if you want to lose weight or gain muscle mass. And, if you’re still on the fence, no need to worry! I’ll be sharing to you how you could approach your gym’s trainers or use the gym’s available equipment.

Going to the gym should not just be a ‘phase’ or a ‘trend’ you want to try. Treat it as a new habit or part of your routine. Learn to commit to it because your health and body will benefit a lot. If you’re having a hard time with this, then maybe you just need a little push to be accountable and actually make time for it. So, start listening in!

Crowns and Flops: I’m going out of town this week!

Flop: As much as I’m excited about it, I’m very worried about the appointments, chores, and responsibilities that I’m going to leave. We’re talking about little days of preparation for a mound of tasks for an entire week. The hustle and bustle are real!

Crowning Moment: My crowning moment is related to my flop! I know that I’m leaving all these to the capable hands of my husband but I just wanted to prepare every little thing so it’d be easy and manageable for my family. And so, I did! I’m giving myself a pat on the back for that. I was able to do them completely in so little time!

Apply These 5 Techniques To Improve Difficult Decisions

Apply These 5 Techniques To Improve Difficult Decisions

Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived.

Today’s Topic: Let me help you get through the tough decisions!

Making difficult decisions takes a lot of time, a lot of energy, and a lot of thinking – on this, we all agree, right? Since this kind of decisions will have a domino effect on your future or someone else’s future, it’s the plainly right thing to do that we be wise along the process. In this episode, I discuss the 5 techniques that I did and will still do when making difficult decisions.

A little backstory first, I had an important discussion with my husband one night that we’ll REALLY change our lives and, of course, it kept me up all night. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know what to think. I got obsessed with it that I consumed most of the time with research the next day! I was worrying a lot.

And, so to do this right, I asked myself… if a friend came to me with the same problem, what advice should I give her? Thinking of it this way helped me to be objective. Then, after having the mindset, I did the 5 techniques. I’m going to discuss them deeper in this episode so make sure to tune in. I may not have the outright answer you need but I got your back and these techniques will definitely help you along the journey!

Crowns and Flops: Difficult decisions & passion projects

Flops: Well, my flop is related to the story I’ve shared on making tough decisions. I became obsessed about it. I’ve stressed myself out for days about it. I was all over the place that it became so bad for me. So, I’ll make sure to make an effort next time.

Crowning Moment: I’m giving this week’s crown to one of my girlfriends! So, my friend who’s not very tech-savvy and knows little about digital marketing, social media, and so forth is starting her own podcast. She’s so excited to launch it and share it with you! It will be mainly about what Christians look like so be sure watch out for it.

And, another thing you should watch out for girls is we’ll be having her as a guest here in Adventuring the Girl Life! I’m looking forward to that and I hope you are too!

Dealing With Mental Health As A Woman

Dealing With Mental Health As A Woman

Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived.

Today’s Topic: Let’s talk about women and mental health.

We celebrate World Mental Health Day every 10th of October for mental health education and awareness and I’m very happy with the progress throughout the years… especially on what I see on social media, what a change of scene – from thinking it as taboo to fully embracing it. We’ve really come a long way.

So, in today’s Adventuring the Girl Life episode, I share my own stories which I hope you could all get something from. I’ve struggled with anxiety since I was a kid. I’ve racked my brains for certain memories that I could share to you, and believe me, there’s a lot so make sure to listen in. I’ve got stories from having panic attacks because of a car breakdown to getting anxious after my 3 miscarriages in the span of 2 years. It was hard. I’ve sought professional help. I’ve taken meds. I’ve done everything I needed to do and I’m very happy I did.

If you’d ask me in the past what’s going on with my life, I’d probably divert the conversation or not respond at all. I used to think that this is a part of me that should be kept in the deepest and darkest nook of my life. But, I do think that to help other women out there, I have to share my story. We’re all different. It doesn’t matter if you’ve got no problems. Learning to be sensitive on how to communicate and deal with them is a great deal for them. So, I hope you do what you gotta do! And, I hope you enjoy and learn a lot from this episode!

Crowns and Flops: Expect the unexpected!

Flops: My latest flop of the week happened while I was on a lunch date with my friend. At first, I was very happy that the plan which I scheduled push through. I was thinking that I will have a fun chit-chat and finally get to treat her for lunch at last! But, well… when it was time to pay the bill, I found out that my wallet was not on me. For those who are viewing how cheapskate this move is, hold your horses. My wallet was two parking lots away so there was no way to make run for it. My friend ended up treating me instead. Ultimate fail. Well, I promise to treat her next time!

Crowning Moment: My husband and I use a lot of electronics for all kinds of activity. In our fitness activities, for example, we each own heartbeat monitors and Bluetooth headphones. But while I was on a run once, I discovered that my heartbeat monitor is wigging out. And to add to that, my headphones died. So, I decided to go to Allen and borrow his but discovered both are also not working for him. Very frustrating indeed!

Now, here’s the light at the end of that dreadful tunnel, I found out that our heartbeat monitors and my headphones are still on warranties! So, we were able to steer clear of expensive service repairs. What a luck!

Ep 16 How To Find Motivation And Make It Stay

Ep 16 How To Find Motivation And Make It Stay

Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived.

Today’s Topic: Be motivated!

Have you ever seated for so long on your office chair staring and thinking of how to fill that blank piece of paper on your desk? It’s a waste of time and absolute frustration! Motivation doesn’t come easy… especially if we don’t know how to go and stay in that motivated state.

Definitely, it won’t come at a snap of your finger or a blow of a whistle. It’s science. It’s a process. So, in today’s episode, we discuss 6 things you have to do to achieve motivation. Learn what these are to actually start doing and accomplish something.

  1. Set a goal – Decide FIRST on what you want to accomplish. You don’t want to be moving around aimlessly and eventually hit a wall.
  2. Ask yourself, “Why?” – Why do you want to accomplish this goal? Will it benefit you? Will it benefit others? How is it important to you?
  3. Decide how to accomplish the goal – Design stages, methods, etc. that you could do and that could ensure success.  Schedule big or small deadlines. Remember to savor every tiny bit of success to keep you going!
  4. Know the starting line – Set a time to do the work. Internalize the task beforehand.
  5. Learn the strategy of rerouting – Greatest weakness lies not in failure but in giving up. Sometimes, we have to take a step back or do a mental shift. Have fail-safes.
  6. Check in with your goal frequently – Are you still on track? Has something changed that could affect your methods?

(Bonus!) Start all over again before you accomplish your final goal! Sometimes, you have to step back to appreciate everything you’ve done. Who knows… doing this might give you a fresh idea on how to start the next step of your journey.

So, that’s it. Were they helpful? Or do you have more tips to add to this? If that’s the case then share what works for you. I can’t wait to hear it!

Crowns and Flops: backlogs and paddleboards

Flops: I missed every bible chapter discussion each last week! Every notification on the emails getting me frustrated with how I am bringing my girls down. I was slacking off and they were waiting for my replies. So, I rushed and sent all my backlogs. Now, I’m on track again!

Crowning Moment: I just went paddle boarding alone. Yes, did it by myself and I totally had fun! I Just this once, let me brag to you girls… I learned how to paddle on a board and never fell or got wet while I was on my paddle board. Yes, make your mama proud moment, indeed. Now, I’m thinking of getting my own paddle board for Christmas. Shall I? What do you think?

Ep 15 5 Things That Podcasts Have Taught Me

Ep 15 5 Things That Podcasts Have Taught Me

Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived.

Today’s Topic: 5 Things That My Favorite Podcasts Taught Me

Today, I share to you what easily bring me pleasure, drive, and motivation these days – podcasts!

I, for one, do like how effortless it is to learn and gain knowledge through this medium. Whether you go for a run, cook meals or do groceries, you just pop in your EarPods, click the Play button, then, it’s done… You’re already listening while you do what you gotta do.

Very efficient, right? Anyway, here are the 5 best podcasts I’m listening to right now:

  1. Starting from scratch from the Side Hustle School Podcast hosted by Chris Guillebeau – An inspiring listen to be motivated and build something else for yourself out of nothing! Learn also how to start a side hustle that could add more opportunities in your life
  2. Suppressing the negative voice from the Amy Porterfield Podcast – Amy’s an online marketing expert so here’s for entrepreneurs out there or enthusiasts who want to know the ins and outs online marketing. Quotes that I absolutely love from this podcast: ‘No unique messages, only unique messengers’ and ‘Embrace the beta.’ Discover how these quotes affected me and how it will affect you when you listen in.
  3. The ‘unhappy list’ from the Happier Podcast hosted by Gretchen Rubin – A very light podcast that teaches you to be happy! This helped me when I was struggling with anxiety after my miscarriages. So, I hope these do to for anything you’re going through.
  4. Alternative for medication from Learn True Health Podcast with Ashley James – For people who are health conscious or starting to be then this is a good addition to your list of podcasts! Ashely talks to experts, people of knowledge, and so forth so it’s a great place to learn about healthy alternatives.
  5. Power Hour from the Happier Podcast – This helps me get things done efficiently! The challenge is in no more than an hour, you finish the tasks you got to do. You’ll be surprised with what you’re capable of.

So, let me ask you: aside from the Adventuring the Girl Life Podcast, what other podcasts do you listen to? I’m done sharing mine so it’s your time to tell yours!

Crowns and Flops:

Flops: I know that online grocery shopping is on trend now. Well, I understand. It looks easy… you just put items on your virtual cart then just wait for your bags to arrive at your front door. Boom, you’re done.

BUT for me, I hate it. I prefer to go the traditional way even though I always go to three different stores and it takes me a lot of time. I also don’t think online shopping is efficient. What if you forget something and you need it right away? You’ll still need to go to the physical store, right?

Maybe, it’s just me being stubborn. Let’s see if online shopping does a better job for me.

Crowning Moment: I went to the gym for every single day of this week! A real hurrah for me! Though I’m a personal trainer, I still had a hard time to pull my body back together after my surgery and the foot injury. So, I’m happy that I committed to this and I’m finally doing it!

Ep 14 Cheating Actually Helps You Lose Weight

Ep 14 Cheating Actually Helps You Lose Weight

Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived.

Today’s Topic: How can a cheat meal help you lose weight?

After that family vacation, which maybe you’ve heard me talking about on the previous episodes, I gained weight – a whopping 4-pound add up to the scale! It was totally worth it! I may have gone off the charts of my diet during those days, but cheat meals – when toned down – can be beneficial to you.

Sometimes, you just have to give in for that piece of cake or a slice of pizza once in a week, not just to make you stay sane after abstaining from it for so long, but to also help you lose weight. Yes, this is definitely real and backed by science, which I’m gonna tell more on this episode so hear me out!

When you go on a diet, we go carefully on the calories and the macros of our food so our hormone levels and metabolism adjust to make sure our body function properly. Now, cheat meals are okay – very okay to avoid a plateau. Cheat meals with low calories and carbs increase leptin, decreases ghrelin, restores glycogen, and reverses your metabolism. That’s a lot of important info you need to digest.

Aside from talking about how it actually works in our body, I’m going to answer questions that fly through your mind right now like how do cheat meals affect us, how long will a cheat meal affect us, and how do we avoid the bad effects of a cheat meal.

So girls, start listening in and discover how cheat meals help you be more consistent in your diet to lose weight faster!

Crowns and Flops: Rock Bottom to Sky High

Flops: It’s all over the news. Hurricane Florence has been wreaking havoc on the Carolinas. Many have already been evacuated, rescued, and assisted. I pray a lot for the families affected and the first responders who are very hard at their work. I am hoping that after the hurricane, we can go back to our lives and remember what’s important.

Crowning Moment: I’m no Amelia Earheart but I’m proud to say that I can be brave as she is! In the near future, I’m going to face my fear and finally fly solo. It was just lately that I’ve started flying on airplanes and during those times, I rely greatly on my husband! But, this time, I’m going to fly alone for a business conference. Well, the nervousness to do it by myself won’t be gone that easily but I’m just too excited about this trip!

Ep 13 12 Ways To Avoid The Afternoon Drag

Ep 13 12 Ways To Avoid The Afternoon Drag

Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived.

Today’s Topic: You snooze, you lose. Beat the afternoon drag!

School just started for my kids and one of them is already a middle schooler. Yes, still in shock! It’s a lot different – I’m actually preparing her mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for it. (Check out Episode 9: Raising Middle Schoolers.)

Anyway, I drop them off at school every day. And, while waiting for my kids to finish the day and finally pick them up, I try to do a lot of things done. BUT it’s hard to be at my most productive these days if drowsiness’ fight is stronger! In today’s episode, we discuss the 12 ways to beat the afternoon drag.

First things first, what’s the reason behind the afternoon slump? Blame it on our circadian rhythm peaking which is signaling our brain to produce melatonin – the hormone responsible for sleep.

But, need not worry since I have prepared tricks for this so you could do all you got to do and finish what you have to finish.

Make sure to tune in because I’ll discuss these in this episode. And, if, by any chance, they aren’t working for you, I’ll let you in some ‘hardcore’ tricks you could do just to get you back on track!

Crowns and Flops: From your PJ-wearing mom to your meal-prep expert

Flops: I dropped off my kids at school wearing my PJs. Well, the culprit: my alarm clock! Or should I say, it was me, myself, and I forgot to set the alarm clock the night before. Good thing, my husband woke me up. I had to wake them up and prepare everything double time.

Crowning Moment: I successfully scheduled my family dinners for the entire week where EVERYONE is eating the same thing. My daughter has allergies so there are foods that she couldn’t eat. Then, there are picky eaters so there are foods that they wouldn’t eat. I’m glad my meal prep skills are always on the rail. I was able to do groceries in one single go for the whole week. And, we’re now eating the same healthy food I prepared.

Crowns and Flops: My So-called Motivational Speaking and My Pink Yeti Cup

Flops: Before I literally started recording this episode, there was a lot going on. Talk about noise, conundrum, and agitation! There was so much noise from the appliances (e.g. the washing machine, the dishwasher, the bathroom exhaust fan, tv, etc.) and the kids fighting each other. To hush everything, I had to yell at my family just to stop every little thing and every little human from making sounds. It was very frustrating.

I also stumbled on a hilarious post that made me laugh so hard which is very related to my flop. The post said, "If you walk by my house and hear me yelling, it's not yelling. I call it motivational speaking for people that don't want to listen." HA HA HA

Crowning Moment: While on va

Ep 11 A Day In The Life Of Adventure

Ep 11 A Day In The Life Of Adventure

Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived.

Today’s Topic: What happens behind the scenes?

If you’re interested in how a personal trainer, an entrepreneur and a mom of 2 manages to stay sane despite the daily grind and hustle, then you’re in for a treat! In today’s episode, I give you an inside scoop on what I do 24/7. You know how particular I am with schedules, right? Every minute and every hour of my day shouldn’t be wasted. Poor scheduling stresses me out. It’s either my work will suffer or my family time will be taken away from me. And, no one wants those! I really hope you get something from this episode. There’s also going to be a lot to talk about – from getting the kids ready for school to meal prepping to working out to meditating to podcasting and a lot more stuff I do day-to-day.

This wouldn’t take a lot of your time, I promise! I kept this episode very light since I’m also getting everything prepared for our family vacation. So, make sure to tune in!

If you’ve got questions, you can schedule a call with me here!

Crowns and Flops: Revamping Adventuring the Girl Life and Jen Whitmore Training

Flops: The Adventure of the Week Section has been missing in action for two weeks. Maybe, you’ve noticed it. I’m putting it on hold for now. Quite a tough decision to make since I really enjoy sharing them with you guys. I really hope to put it back soon with a bang and make it better!

Crowning Moment: I’ve been talking to Laura, a friend of mine, about life and business. She has been a great influence lately in my business. I’m excited to share with you that Adventuring the Girl Life and Jen Whitmore Training will be better and bigger in the future. We’re preparing a lot for you so make sure to watch out!

Ep 10 Is CBD Oil Right For You?

Ep 10 Is CBD Oil Right For You?

Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived.

Today’s Topic: Is CBD Oil Good For You?

Yes, you read it right! Today, it’s all about CBD oil and everything related to it – its legality, its composition, its origins, its health benefits and many more. I have with me today, Heather Sweitzer from Hempworx. She’s a mom of four, a cannabis coffee & murder books lover, and, of course, a great girlfriend of mine!

We won’t get too science-y about it on this episode so fret not. What we can promise is an interesting discussion for everyone out there who wants to have a healthy body for themselves and their family. Heather swears by this. For example, in her own home, her 4 kids and husband take hemp-derived CBD oil twice a day every single day, and has seen unbelievable improvements in their health and nutrition. Amazing, isn’t it?

Anyways, I’m not gonna drag this long. Questions like ‘What do I tell my boss about this?’, ‘What are cannabinoids?’, and ‘Is it from marijuana?’ will be answered! So, make sure to click that Play button because I’m very sure that your curiosity is already starting to swallow you whole. And, when you’re done listening make sure to tell me your experiences with CBD Oil and your thoughts about this episode!

Get in touch with Heather: HERE and on FACEBOOK HERE

Crowns and Flops: Disorganized to Organized

Flops: A very bad domino effect happened while I was managing the 3 Things To Do Before You Start Exercising! an episode of Adventuring the Girl Life last time. Ugh! I gave the audio file to my copywriter too little, too late. Therefore, having a bad chain reaction with the tasks. I had no choice but to publish the episode without the show notes. Have you noticed it? Well, now it’s up! So, go check it out here!

Crowning Moment: Before my little munchkins go to school, my family’s going for a vacation! And I am proud to say that I organized EVERYTHING. I’ve arranged the itinerary. I already prepared in advance all the stuff my kids need for school. They already met their teachers. It’s just the fun that we’re waiting to happen! I might even tell you about it in the next episode. Let’s see!

Ep 9 Raising Middle Schoolers

Ep 9 Raising Middle Schoolers

Welcome to Adventuring the Girl Life, where we believe life for every girl should be well-lived.

Today’s Topic: Sending my young ones every beginning of the school year brings me to tears!

They’re growing so fast before my eyes. For example, it didn’t bother me to think before that my baby girl Riley is old enough to go to middle school (MIDDLE SCHOOL!) I am shocked, excited, and worried. What if she gets bullied? What if there’s too much peer pressure around her? What do I do?

So, on today’s episode, I am giving away tips for parents and guardians out there on how to raise our middle schoolers, especially for our cute baby girls. I’m not trying to be biased around here but middle school has been crueler to girls at this age… Believe it or not!

Anyway, here are 11 things you can tell your middle-schoolers:

  1. Your worth is not determined by what your friends say about you, it is what Jesus say about you.
  2. Boys mature way slower than girls.
  3. Your friends will come and go but with every person. there is a lesson to learn on how to treat people.
  4. “Remember to treat others the way you want to be treated.” - Ephesians 4:32
  5. Marriage should not be your ultimate goal in your life. There is so much more there to experience.
  6. Everybody is different. That's how God made us.
  7. Counterfeit love is not worth giving into in comparison to what Jesus has in store for you.
  8. This will be an amazing time. Make new friends. Find new hobbies. Live it up.
  9. Get into a cool church group.
  10. Make an effort to find someone (that you approved of, of course!) that you give permission to your children to talk to.
  11. Always tell them they’re on your team.

In the end, I have to remain very hopeful of what’s ahead of my baby girl. I have to let her experience this on her own and just be here to light her way.

Make sure to tune in because we’ll dive into these tips deeper!

And, if you have more tips you want to add, then make sure to send it through my way right away!

Crowns and Flops: Here are my crowns and flops this week!

Crowning moment: I attended a photography course! This is so I can take better pictures for my business and social media. I’ve learned a lot of techniques and I’m really excited for you guys to see how the pictures I’ll be taking in the future.

Flop: I signed up for the Night Nation Run near where I lived and I totally bailed out the last minute just because there was no one to go with. It was supposed to be a 5K run with glow sticks and neon clothes but had to cancel it because I didn’t want to do it alone! I guess I should learn how not to bail on the things I want next time!
