We have all been through the disappointment of something that didn't go the way we wanted it to in our life at some point, I am pretty sure this has happened a lot of times for some of you as it has for me, and we all know the subsequent feelings of betrayal, anger and disappointment that follows and sometimes haunt us because we cared so much.

As humans our entire life seems to be held together by certain expectations - expectations that others have on us like our career, school, religion, friends, family ...especially parents.  These then shape our expectations of other people and even change how we end up behaving to meet other people's expectations.

The fact about expectations is that they are based on assumptions and unfortunately as soon as we enter into the realm of assuming we can lose ourselves in judgement and emotions.

So how can we save ourselves from the effects of an unmet expectations.

Well... we level our expectations. What does that mean and how can we work on letting expectations go?
