Finding your ideal customer for your brand
JP the ideator talks about finding your ideal customer and the buyer persona to interact with to close the sale. Do you know your ideal customer is and the buyer whom you need to interact with to close a sale? The truth of the matter is in this ever-changing digital age if you are going after everybody you are servicing nobody! Throwing your ad dollars everywhere (both online and offline) can be a great pain to the bottom line. Your reading from a guy who has spent his fair share of ad dollars with no return on investment! I'm here to tell you there's a better way to invest those marketing and advertising dollars. One of the first things you need to know is the lifetime value of your customer. If you know how much a customer will pay for utilizing your products and/or services, you can then make a decision what you're willing to pay to acquire them. Let us discuss who "them" is. Your ideal customer defines the person(s) who for what your organization solves for. For example: Size of company Location Financials Problems and/or requirements These people and/or organizations are considered your cold leads. What can make these leads becoming warm is connecting with the person(s) that make the decisions and solving for their challenges. To engage with these people you would like to establish a buyer's persona profile. Your buyer's persona is simply a representation of the demographics, goals, motivators, and challenges they are facing. For example Increasing market share Developing new services increasing revenues Acquiring minority talent Arming your marketing, branding and sales teams with this information gives them the ability to their job better. Possibly lower your costs, work more efficiently and close more customers. Because...... Marketers and branding teams can create content that nurtures the right customer. Sales teams are able to connect your solutions to the right customer to generate more sales. Advertising costs will be allocated to the right customer.
