Jesus Affirms Me

Christianity is not a safeguard against hardship in this life. The fact is, as long as we live, we will face a lot of different things, both good and bad. But we keep moving; in fact we running.

The intent of today's episode is to encourage you wherever you find yourself while listening. This life may not be easy, but here is not our home and we have hope for an eternity in a better place. God is good and mercies endure forever.

Hebrews 12:1-2 instructs, Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now He is seated in the place of honor beside God's throne.

Let's go running!

And we are off! 2024 is here and there ain't no turning back now. So then, what are your plans for the new year? Have you consulted God for how you should move and plan and goal set for the new year? If not, what are you waiting for?? Tune in to this episode to hear my thoughts on setting goals AND to hear an announcement.. what about, you ask? I guess you should listen and find out. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Here's to a new year filled with God's immeasurable blessings and grace.

Being in ministry for the entirety of their marriage is just a small taste of the wisdom they came to share. Pastor Rodney and Kiesha Wilkinson have been married for 17 years and have been ministering for about as long. They have 4 children, Jordyn, Ziyon, RJ & Grace. Pastor Rodney is the Lead Pastor at Gospel Fellowship Church in Boynton Beach and Kiesha works as nurse and enjoys serving wherever there is a need. After spending 10 years in campus ministry at Florida Atlantic University, Pastor Rod, Kie and a core team launched Gospel Fellowship Church in Boynton Beach, FL.

Today's episode is about all things prayer! Yes, prayer - talking to and with God. I'm really excited about this episode, because (1) I love being reminded about the invitation that has been extended to all of us to commune with the creator of the heavens and earth and (2) Tim Jean went in with the dropping of the nuggets. Tim is our guest on today's episode and really drives home what prayer is, how do we do it and he delivers it in a way that even if you haven't talked to God in years - you can rest assured that you can start right now. 

Tim Jean was born and raised in Delray Beach Florida to two Haitian parents. His Father got into Ministry while he was in middle school. Tim's background is in education and music, which he's been a part of for most of his life. He has one sister and contends that his faith journey has been quiet, crazy and beautiful!!

Purpose and calling.. are they the same, are they different and what the heck do they mean? If you're like me and have wondered what your calling is or what's your purpose - then you are in for a beautiful treat. Joining me on today's episode is Pastor Rodney Wilkinson. Hebrews 11 is also known as the Faith chapter or a chapter that highlights great examples of faith. And boy is it! Have you read it? If not you definitely should! It offers some beautiful reminders of Old Testament believers and their faith and how God is not ashamed to be called their God. I don't know about you but I want God to not be ashamed to be called my God. I want to be faithful in His sight and I want my legacy to be counted as one who faithfully served the Lord.

Ya'll I am angry! And so frustrated at the sin that is so rampant in our land that we struggle to see our brothers, sisters and neighbors in the image of God. So much so that the unjust murders of unarmed black and brown people by those who have taken an oath to protect said people is wreaking havoc on our nation. So, I'm angry and rightly so. In Ephesians 4:26, the Apostle Paul instructs us to be angry yet sin not; and don't let the sun go down on your anger. How sway? Sometimes the offense is so deep that I need a least of few days Paul. 

In today's episode, I offer up a few suggestions for how to navigate this emotion in light of what's going on in our land. It is only by God's grace that we can explore forgiveness - first seeking God's forgiveness for our transgressions then trusting Him to help us to forgive our brothers and sisters. 

Dearly beloved, take heart and know that God is sitting on the throne as the final and just judge. Believe in Him today for all of the help that you need to get through your go through.

It is the expression of reverence and adoration of a deity and in our case, the Triune God and can be expressed in many different ways. I can't believe February is over!! It feels like the month was just a blur. But guess what isn't a blur? God's perfect intentionality in how He orchestrates our lives and love stories. Today's episode features a couple who's story has had God's hand all up in and through it for the past 11 years & counting. Dave and Naomie Matilus joins us on today's episode to recount how they met, talked, met, talked and met again - then finally married! Their story is definitely one you don't hear about often but I'm so happy that they lovingly share their story with us. Dave and Naomie reside in Boynton Beach, FL with their two handsome boys, David and Zahir. Dave works as a psychiatric nurse and Naomie is an educator, baker and an avid reader. They both love Jesus and rests in His affirmations daily.
