Here's an idea, why don't we READ THE BIBLE!  Recently it has dawned on me that there are many of us who call ourselves Christians that do not have a regular diet of reading the God's word and in times like these, digging into our Bibles is one of the BEST things we can do.  So today, we're simply going to read the Bible.  Starting with the first book of the New Testament, we'll be reading Matthew chapter one and continue to read a chapter at a time to help each of us stay connected to truth. Grab your coffee, get comfortable, and let's hear from God's word together.

Well, 2021 is firing on all cylinders...not sure if that's a good thing or...anyway, some people did a thing at the US Capitol this past week and we're going to talk about it.  How should we be responding in these circumstances? What do we do?  Let's look to the Bible for answers and pray!

In this episode, I have a question for you...should Christians "dance" on non-Christians graves?  The reason I ask is there have been some very troubling responses to the recent death of supreme court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and it brings up something that I feel is critical to our witness as Christians...what is our "natural outflow"?  How do our actions and words reflect our internal transformation...or lack of transformation.

On Sunday January 27, 2020 at 9:45am, professional basketball player Kobe Bryant, his 13 year old daughter and 7 other individuals died in a helicopter crash.  Many of the people I know have a connection with Kobe as I do.  We weren't close by any means, but I did experience him outside of the spotlight along with MY daughter...who is now 13 years old (and played against Kobe's daughter that was on the flight).  What does all of this mean? Why do we have to die?  What does the bible say?  In this episode of Jesus + Coffee we talk about the crash, I share my Kobe story and scripture from Ecclesiastes to reflect on this tragic event.
