Once a floating paradise helmed by a fraud, the illustrious elusive Quailfeather soared from the depths of servitude to unwavering freedom. Given a certain set of instructions by a former member, those who remain on board choose to vindicate their names and rewrite the ship's legacy... but for a towering tree of life to dig its roots deep and grow sturdy, its seed must first die.

The search for such uncommon immaculate volumes of recorded ancient thought has proven to be insurmountable through the years. Should it be less complicated when the workload is divided amongst new allies, then a future when the completed collection is on a single shelf is not far off. Delegated seekers reach out and hope to recover an elusive sky-freighter that may have been gunned down in a dazzling blaze nearly one month prior.

Ten years before the turn of the first millennium, W.D. [without dream], two leaders of Stalan and Finalia met atop the highest ridge of the Andean Dirthills.  Where a bloody, gruesome battle was meant to take place, the two nations may instead reach an agreement.

The Encyclopedia Mondrenica is a pre-war collection of leather-bound volumes containing a retelling of modern Mondrean history. In the public eye, they are the single source of reputable records regarding the growth of Mondrean civilizations since the event, “The Great Fade,” in which memory of all history preceding was erased from page, script, parchment, mouth, and mind… over a thousand years ago.

The Mondrean people of a faraway time once held immeasurable power. Unknown hands pulled that power away from them and into the shadow. For centuries, this power would fade from memory, into nameless myth, frail fable, and lost legend. 

A single strand remains. A man anoints himself the sole steward of this forgotten world and tugs on the strand, following the line to the source. The source... of the stolen Dream. The rebirth... of Nightmare.
