I originally intended to write a poem every week, after the baby was born. A way of reflecting on the new universe we entered in June. I started writing more often. The poems became a ritual, after bath time. I'm compiling them into a book, but editing is tricky. Time becomes harder to find. So, for now, I'm recording the poems as a way to share them. Thanks for listening. If you have questions, comments, or feedback of any kind, email darkoindex at gmail dot com.
This episode begins with an audio version of "Alexa is Killing Us" a story I wrote recently for Splice Today, about humans, technology, politics and psychology. It continues with a reflection on my birthday and parenting and pre-school futures. It concludes with two instrumental guitar tracks. Enjoy.
This episode is a compilation of 9 previously published episodes, and several musical interludes. If you enjoy this, please consider my book of collected poems: The Spirit In: Poems from the First Year of Fatherhood. $4 e-book, $10 paperback.
