Kathi und Sven vom Kollektiv Radix führen uns in dieser Ausgabe von Shift in das Thema Transformative Gerechtigkeit ein. Sie berichten uns davon, was falsch ist mit dem „klassischen Justizsystem“, warum es für von Gewalt betroffene Menschen oft keine Option ist sich an die Polizei zu wenden, welchen Prinzipien transformative Gerechtigkeit folgt, was kollektive Verantwortungsübernahme bedeutet, welche Bedingungen in einer Gruppe dazu beitragen, das Transformative Gerechtigkeit funktionieren kann, wie ein transformativer gerechtigkeits-Prozess ausehen kann, worauf dabei zu achten ist um die Bedürfnisse aller beteiligten am Schirm zu haben, wie Gruppen anfangen können mit transformativer Gerechtigkeit zu experimentieren und warum es sinnvoll ist sich mit dem Thema zu beschäftigen, bevor es zu ernsten Fällen von Gewalt kommt. In dieser Ausgabe von Shift wurde ein Haufen wertvoller Ressourcen genannt, ich lege euch stark ans Herz diese mal durchzuschauen. Das Thema transformative Gerechtigkeit ist super spannend aber auch viel zu groß um es in etwas über einer Stunde umfassend zu besprechen. Diese Folge ist also eher ein Überblick über das Thema.

In dieser Ausgabe von Shift habe ich die große Ehre Martina Handler begrüßen zu dürfen. Martina ist Mediatorin, Prozessbegleiterin, Moderatorin und Beraterin für Bürger*innenbeteiligung. Sie war Teil des Moderationsteams des österreichischen Klimarates und hat jahrelange Erfahrung mit der Durchführung von Bürger*innenräten und dem Thema Partizipation.

Wir unterhalten uns darüber, was ein Bürger*innenrat ist, die Methode Dynamic Facilitation, den Wert des Zuhörens, wie ein Bürger*innenrat zustande kommt und wie er abläuft, was mit den Ergebnissen passiert, Martinas Erfahrungen beim Klimarat und viele weitere Themen.

In this episode of Shift I have the absolute privilege of talking to Jen Sandler. Jen is an antrhopologist, activist, community organizer and facilitator based in the US. In her research she has been focusing on the role of meetings for social change, what makes a good meeting and why good meetings are so important for succesful social movements. We talk about what she has been finding about the role of meetings, some principles and practices for good meetings, community organizing, the conditions that create momentum in social change, the difference in conditions between the states and Europe and many other things.

In this episode, I have the absolute privilege of talking to Pascal Hazeleger. He works on solving complex problems through developing networked organizations. He is involved with the blue neighborhood economy foundation in Spijkerkwartier in Arnhem/Netherlands. The foundation is running a community center and many different projects in the neighborhood. About 10% of people in the neighborhood are actively involved in one of those projects.

Pascal and I talk about why this community is so valuable to the people participating, how it is set up structurally, what challenges they are encountering with regards to organizational culture and bringing their collective vision into reality and how they are going about mastering those challenges.

In this episode, I have the absolute privilege of talking to Mazin Jamal. Mazin is a fellow coach trained by the academy for coaching excellence, a trainer, author, artist, musician, activist, and thought leader in building a world where everyone can thrive. He is the founder and executive director of Holistic Underground – an organization that supports social movements and companies to bring principles of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion to their work.

In this conversation, Mazin tells us about his theory of change, the methodology Holistic Underground works with to train movements and organizations in JEDI principles which is called “purpose place”, some organizational shifts toward self-organization and distributed leadership they are going through at the moment, his perspective on transformative justice, and a recent trip to Sudan, where he visited his family there and got to support the local revolution and resistance against the military coup that is happening there.

Natalie Davenport is a facilitator, organizer and coach. She is based in the United States and all of her work is rooted in the purpose of supporting people to participate in building the new world with ease and joy and a sense of belonging. As a coach Natalie supports people to clarify their vision for change and to consistently take action. Recently she has been focusing her energy on dismantling white supremacy culture through an array of offerings, from interviews on instagram live to a 3 month study group. Today we will be talking about what white supremacy culture is, how it shows up in our organizations and society as a whole, how it relates to widespread conflict in social movements and why it is important to dismantle it.

Katie und Micha arbeiten beim Future Matters Project. Das FMP unterstützt die Klimabewegung durch Trainings für politisches Organizing. Wie Katie es beschreibt: "Wir schauen, was soziale Bewegungen erfolgreich macht und wie wir diese Erkenntnisse zurück in die Praxis tragen können." Simon ist Sport- und Sozialwissenschaftler, Trainer und Coach. Das Thema, das ihn in all seinen Tätigkeiten begleitet sind Flow Zustände. Mit seiner Firma Nowtation vermittelt er spielerische Ansätze um mehr flow in die Arbeitswelt zu bringen. Als Teal Master und Agile Trainer unterstützt er Organisationen dabei, das nächste Level an Resilienz und Anpassungsfähigkeit zu meistern. Außerdem ist er beim Deutschen Alpenverein als Ausbilder für Mountainbike Guides tätig und ist selbst am liebsten auf dem Rad unterwegs.

In der ersten Folge von Shift unterhalten wir uns über Flow, was das eigentlich ist, wieso jeder Mensch Flow kennt, warum es erstrebenswert ist mehr Flow ins eigene Leben zu bringen, welche Stellschrauben es dafür gibt und vieles mehr.
