The 8th Commandment is about not stealing but it entails more than just physically taking something that doesn't belong to you.

Palm Sunday and we reflect on Jesus' entry into Jerusalem before his crucifixion and resurrection.

THe 6th commandment states you shall not murder, but what does that mean and why? This message points to the depth of this command and how Jesus fulfills it.

God revealed his glory to Moses and what does that look like for us?

The 5th commandment is a reflection of authority and how to obey God given authority.

The 4th Commandment is about keeping the Sabbath. What does that mean for us today? How does Jesus fulfill this commandment?

The 2nd commandment brings the directive to not only not making an image to represent God but also not to bow down to any image as God. What does that mean for us today?

We start our new series through the 10 commandments. Many people know about them but why do the matter today? We look at the value of them as well as the first commandment in this sermon.

The closing remarks from Paul are about his traveling companion Tychicus. He would be sent to go to Ephesus to encourage their hearts. How can we be that type of encourager?

Paul concludes his exhortation on being ready for spiritual warfare by asking for Prayer. In this message we see how important it is to ask fellow Christians to pray for us.

We are continuing through the series of the armor of God. Here we look at the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit.

We look at 2 more pieces of armor that Paul mentions for the Christian to put on in Ephesians 6.

The Armor of God is the focus of this message. The first two pieces, the belt of truth and the breastplate of righteousness. The armor is not just something God gives but really it is Jesus' armor that he has worn and proven its worth which he gives to us.

It has been said that the Christian life is not a playground but a battleground. The Christians battle is not against flesh and blood. What do we do? How do we endure? We see in this message in Ephesians.

The Christian is called to point to Jesus. Sometimes that can be even under hard circumstances. What does that look like to live the gospel out?

The Apostle uses the analogy of taking off the old self and being made new in Jesus Christ. In this message we see what does that look like.

Ephesians 4:17-20 The Apostle Paul continues talking about the Christian life. The Christian is called to live differently.

What does growth of the church look like? Is it numbers or a bigger budget? Paul tells us that it is something different- looking to the fullness of Christ.

The diversity of the body of Christ comes with the different gifts of grace to be used for the edification and equipping of the church.

The Apostle Paul goes from pointing out how much the church (the believers) have in common because of Jesus to what makes us unique is that different gifts that have been given to the Christian.

We look at why we have unity within the church. The way of unity is what Paul mentioned in the verses preceding this message. We see the Triune God who is one and how the church is one.

In the book of Ephesians, chapter 4 transitions into what it looks like to live the gospel out. Paul expresses the greatness of Jesus and his grace to now what does it look like in the life of a Christian.

The doxology to Paul's 2nd prayer in the book of Ephesians. God who is able to do far more abundantly than we can ask or think.

Paul's 2nd prayer to God is pointing to the strength to grasp Christ's love for us.

We enter Paul's 2nd prayer to God for the church. This week Pastor Mike Barksdale shows Paul's prayer is focused on spiritual strength, Ephesians 3:14-16.

Paul uses the word mystery to describe how God's redemptive plan for mankind includes the Gentiles. This mystery was revealed through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Christian's foundation is built on Jesus, sustained and held together by Jesus, and unites other believers together.

The resurrection changed everything. We celebrate this Easter with reminding ourselves that Jesus is alive!

Why is Good Friday called "good?"

Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem is the start of passion week.

The gospel brings us near to God when we were so out of reach. The work of Jesus reconciles us with the father and also with one another.

Paul reminds the Christians in Ephesus about our spiritual health outside Jesus. He said we were once dead in our sins and trespasses. God is the only one who can make us alive because of what Jesus did for us. God rewrites our stories! The Christian is his workmanship created for good works. 

Paul shares the bad news and the good news of the gospel message. We are saved by grace through faith. What does that mean? This passage and message expresses what that means. 

Paul gives the bad news of our predicament because of sin (Eph. 2:1-3) while sharing the great news of what God has done (Eph 2:4-7).
