Rather than delve into philosophical matters in this episode, I have chosen to give a relaxing demonstration of a combination of ASMR and informal self hypnosis. I have no formal training in either of these skill sets and offer this recording based on my own enjoyable observations of these types of audio.

This episode is mainly about simulation theory. I start with an anecdote about the religious experience of seeing The Matrix for the first time in 1999 and revisiting the film 20 years later. I discuss my thoughts and ideas regarding the validity of Simulation Theory and its implications on our daily lives.

What started off as a ragged attempt at stitching together my limited knowledge of Spanish, German, and Japanese led to a longer-winded monologue into the nature of consciousness. Language is based on the idea of associating to separate ideas. This also happens to be the basis of the “Self“, an abstract cognitive phenomenon of separating the identity of the conscious thinking mind from its surroundings. I question and explore the validity of the actual existence of a “Self”.

Although I attempt to make all of my episodes as relaxing and soothing as possible, the subject matter of this episode could have the potential to cause some listeners feelings of stress. I spend the majority of this recording talking about my thoughts on our current digital state of ongoing surveillance and how it has influenced my decisions in the past and will continue to influence my decisions in the future. This topic, for any citizen who is the least bit concerned about their privacy will likely become much more in the forefront of our collective conscience. I appreciate your curiosity and hope my words inspire and elevated consciousness.

In this episode, I recount one of my most recent lucid dreams in which I was absolutely convinced that I was awake despite the fact that the surroundings were otherworldly. I describe methods I use to trigger lucid dreams as well as other strange sleep phenomenon such as sleep paralysis, waking to dream-induced hallucinations and having limbs go numb.
