Living With TBI.

This is the time of year when we get to see family members we haven't seen in a while. Those of us with TBI have a lot to think about before deciding if we can handle these events.

I don't have a theme for this episode, but I wanted to get things off my chest.

We must learn to enjoy the small victories when we earn them.

Ever since my brain injury, I've had to learn how to live without some of my favorite activities.

I have been struggling to stay motivated.

A friend of mine gave me advice that I would like to share with you.

An update regarding my vision issue.

I lost vision on my left eye while driving.

I took a trip to Madrid and learned new things about my TBI.

The saying that music soothes the soul has never been more true. 

Here is a story about my experience with a neurologist that works for the insurance company. 

A lot has happened since my last episode. 

I was evaluated by several doctors this week. The diagnosis I received was interesting. 

I can't help but feel like I am a burden to my family and friends. 

My first flight since being injured was not a walk in the park. 

I discovered my limits during a trip to Florida. 

I have a story about a visit to a crowded restaurant. 

A ruling will change how I live my life, going forward. 

Ever since my TBI, I have had issues walking. 

#TBI has made driving at night a horrible experience. 

- My wife is feeling better and is prepping for surgery to remove a tumor. 

- I am back to taking anti-anxiety medication 

- I am still fighting to get better. 

It's been 1 year and 10 months since my accident and I continue to deal with pain, and learning disabilities. The pain has gotten worse over the last month. 

I was declined benefits again, and I will explain why. 

Lot's of new obstacles have made my recovery from TBI extremely challenging. 

I am seeing positive results from my therapy and treatments. 

So much is going on right now. 

I realized the other day--when I was doing vision therapy--that I am making progress with my recovery.

As someone who is living with TBI, I face new challenges that I never thought I'd have to live with. It can be frustrating and discouraging, but a dream I had might have taught me how to deal with these challenges and overcome them.

This past weekend I was able to spend time with family that I have not seen in over 30 years. Here are the challenges I had to face during their visit. 

Networking has been very helpful in dealing with my new limitation with TBI. 

Last week was really tough for me. I had to do therapy and attend a virtual hearing. I also created three videos for my YouTube channel. All of that activity did a number to my brain, and made me sleep a lot. 

Is this something you have to deal with? 

It has been a year since my brain injury, and so I want to share my experience with other people who are also dealing with TBI.
