The Resistance Proves What True Organizing Is

The Resistance Proves What True Organizing Is

In the case of Palestine, but not only there. In Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, and elsewhere we are seeing that a people organized can never be defeated. Revolution is more than armed struggle but building a new society from an old one. The people of Palestine and the world know this clearer than ever before - all power to the people!

Questions for the so-called “Movement”

Questions for the so-called “Movement”

A bit repetitious, but I wanted to put more of my thoughts into an episode and ask directly for responses questions and answers, we also must lift up in this moment Mumia Abu Jamal who is ailing from his imposed sicknesses cause by incarceration and attacks by the state; Leonard Peltier, who’s vision is quickly degenerating due to abuses in concentration camps, and who just lost his sister (who’s daughter needs help with funding!) and will not be able to say goodbye; Kamau Sadiki turns 71 today and still sits rotting in concentration under oppressive and cruel restrictions of food, water, and movement. These and others like Joy Powell are our heroes, our freedom fighters- we must struggle to see them free, safe, and taken care of

Determination in the Face of Struggle - Learning from the Palestinians, Congolese, and others!

It was hard to come up with the title for this episode because I spoke about a lot of different things. Brief synopsis though would be that we start with some discussion of the apathy, and in action of many of us, including myself, and transition to discussing why we especially in imperialist nations have come to be so willing and able to normalize suffering, while others around the world, have no options, but to either fight, flee, or die. So, let us learn from those around the world who have shown us what it means to be human, by fighting for humanity.

Colonial Connections Part 4: Psychological Warfare

Colonial Connections Part 4: Psychological Warfare

This is in no way a history or in-depth analysis of the history of psychological warfare. This is my attempt to cover the way in which colonialism and imperialism use psychology in many ways more often than military might, in order to manipulate and control a population. I want to follow up on this episode so if anyone would like to suggest someone to invite on to discuss this further, please do so. Thank you for the support! Free Palestine! Free all political prisoners! Free the land!

Colonial Connections: the Attack on Children

Colonial Connections: the Attack on Children

In this episode I added a bit of an additional layer to our discussion of Colonialism and Genocide. Historically, children have along with folks who are disabled, and Elderly folks, been disproportionately affected by war and especially by genocide, displacement, starvation, lack of medical care, hospitals, schools, jobs, etc. They are forced to leave their homes, their lives, their families, often coming or going to this or that imperialist nation, forced to give their intellect, labor, and tax dollars to a nation that helped destroy theirs. This cannot continue!

Driving Thoughts on Revolutionary History and Contradictions Today

Driving Thoughts on Revolutionary History and Contradictions Today

I took the time driving today as an opportunity to discuss some expanded thoughts on the relevance and significance of the passing of Sekou Odinga, Ruchelle Magee, Wadiya, Mutulu, and plenty of other revolutionary heroes and legends now ancestors, the impact of their loss on the struggle, and how we must bridge the gap between those who sacrificed so much and are still with us today, and the new generation coming into the movement. I also spoke about issues to do with capacity, unseriousness, and the level of struggle many are involved in today, including myself.

Honoring Our Fallen Revolutionary Heroes (Brief)

In this short episode, we take the time to comment on the recent passing of Mutulu Shakur, Ralph Poynter, Ruchelle Magee, Sekou Odinga, Russel “Maroon” Shoatz, Sis Wadiya, and plenty of others, their struggles, their sacrifices, and our need to double and triple the efforts to build relationships w these elders while they’re here on earth!

“Organizing” - Get out there and do it!

“Organizing” - Get out there and do it!

No matter what little time, skills, capacity, capabilities, or experience, you feel you may, or may not have - it’s all helpful in the struggle. Many of us feel bad because we can’t give our all, or can’t do all of the things that others can do, that we shouldn’t organize. We also believe that until we get things sorted out in our individual, that there’s no way we could help in a collective. But this is where we are wrong! In fact, many of us can do almost nothing alone, even for ourselves. We require collectives and other people to accomplish anything, including revolution. No matter what you have to give, any organization would be lucky to have you. Each and everyone of you! So, go out there and join one, if you can’t find one you like, form your own! The time is now. None left to waste.

Colonial Connections Part Three: Fascism, Neocolonialism and Reform

This episode is a continuation of the colonial connection series, where we speak more in depth about the origins and functions of fascism, as it relates to both Zionism today, the occupation of Palestine, and colonialism throughout history. We also talk about how reform is intrinsic to new developments of fascism that do not look exactly like what came about in Europe throughout the 1920s and 30s - today Fascism is of its own forms, which have learned lessons from the past, right beside the ruling class, and our oppressors, who work hand-in-hand (though not always in “unison) to oppress the people and make off with their riches. Please let me know what you think!

This Dread and Depression is on Purpose! Don’t Fall Victim! Don’t Blame Yourselves!

In this episode, I talk about some of the difficulties with remaining positive through a very dehumanizing, morbid, draining, and existential moment that we are all living through today. Whether we are Palestinian, Congolese, Nicaraguan, Cuban, Jamaican, Chinese, indigenous, or so-called American, we are all dealing with the extremes of capitalist, exploitation, extermination campaigns, mass, incarceration, the preponderance of social media, hyper individualism, mental health and climate crisis, and just in general, having to go to school or go to work every day while the world is blowing up around us. What do we do? How do we feel? How do we move forward? Let’s talk about it.

Colonial Connections: An Intro to the Relations of Colonialism, Capitalism, Fascism and Zionism

If the title wasn’t long enough, wait till you hear how much information I packed into this one episode! This is my best attempt to try to put onto the table, all of the different historical connections and points of origin between colonial and imperial powers from Britain to the United States to Nazi Germany and to the state of Israel. Through discussing the means by which colonialism came to be, Europe, founded itself and created an institution of white supremacy, and how capitalism/imperialism was able to time and time again, assert its domination over the world through occupation, genocide, slavery, wage labor, resources, extraction, and political domination. This is only part of an ongoing discussion. I hope to have with others, and to expand upon myself. All power to the Palestinian people, long live liberation, and revolution!

Lessons I’ve Learned (so far) from Sis Safiya Bukhari

In this episode, I speak about some things I have been learning thanks to the elders and organizers, who have been in the movement for a while now; former Panthers, Black Liberation Army folks, MOVE and other collectives too, who have taught me much, and introduced me too many people who otherwise I may have never heard of. Sister Bukhari is one of them, and I look forward to hearing how folks have or will engage with her work

A Call to the “Movement”

A Call to the “Movement”

I recorded this to bring some questions and contradictions up that I and Others have experienced while trying to organize in different so-called movements. I gave a brief introduction to start us out about Black August, and go into a discussion of my own failures criticisms of myself, criticisms of this notion of so-called movements, in the form of a question. We then open up the discussion to talk about some of the different experiences and issues that I have been a part of or dealt with while trying to organize. This is a call to all who have given themselves the title of organizer, revolutionary, socialist, or communist or what have you. Anyone interested in coming on the show or discussing this further only needs to reach out. Any, and all criticisms are welcome.

The Right of Humanity to Struggle and Life

The Right of Humanity to Struggle and Life

In this episode, I again engaged the idea that revolution and resistance are the most natural characteristics of any living organism, and any human being, who faces oppression and exploitation. If we do not struggle to build a world based on the needs of the masses of people who are illiterate, who go hungry, who are homeless and who are made to suffer and die, we too will die along with them and our Earth. But this need not be a death sentence, humanity has always shown it’s will to fight. So let us fight, struggle, and let us not compromise or retreat, until exploitation and oppression are eradicated from this earth

“Human rights” vs the Rights of Humanity

“Human rights” vs the Rights of Humanity

In this episode, we talk about how frequent it is conveyed that the most important thing to humankind are these vague notions of human rights. Yet as Dr. Fidel Castro told us many times, there is a difference between human rights and the rights of humanity. There can be no discussion of human rights in the name of billions who live without so much as a piece of bread. There can be no discussion of human rights in the world plagued with destructive and imperialist wars. It is the rights of humanity, which must be discussed, that demand an end to all colonial, imperialist, and capitalist wars. And it can only be those who fight for the rights of humanity, the rights of all, to self determination, self defense, ownership of their own resources, land, and labor, who can bring this conversation through to action.

Expanded Intro: Capitalism, Commodity Production and Imperialism

In this episode, we expand on two previous episodes, one on capitalist exploitation, and the other on imperialism. In this episode, we talk about commodity production under capitalism, and especially, the shift from production for the use and needs of society to the production, for the sake of exchange and profit from exchange solely for the owning class. We also talk about imperialism, what its characteristics are, and what we need to do to avoid simplistic analysis, both of its history and current existence.
